Is there anything stopping parts of the station looking like water?
That probably would be possible, although ships wouldn't be able to use those tiles of course.
If you could build it like you would build a station on a slope normally, surely then it could APPEAR at least to be like that.

I'm mainly thinking of SAC's adapted "canal" graphics (Weren't they foundations?) that lookde like a real harbour with high walls and so on. This sort of thing would be absolutely brilliant.

Yes Dave you're right. As DanMacK said:
DanMacK wrote:Using a shoreline tile would be perfectly acceptable, esp if it can hang out over water. A Hulett would be a very interesting addition...
We can also change the foundation graphics if necessary. All it needs is someone to draw the sprites. ;)

Yes, the problem does seem to be the rail continuation information, it happens with the Canadian Stations set too

And the same bug also occurs in TTDPatch. I guess a bug report is needed...

Edit: This has now been fixed in OpenTTD at r13734, thanks Rubidium. :D
Yeah, me thanks Rubidium too. Many thanks Rubidium for the quick fix!

Hi,
Downloaded the ISR strings and translated to Estonian ;)
Any help from someone who speaks Estonian well would be appreciated, some of the strings sound quite strange right now...

Hi Alselius, welcome to the forum. :D

Thanks for the translation. :)) I don't speak a word of Estonian myself, so it looks great to me. ;) Hopefully there's another Estonian speaker out there who can check them for you.

I did the French ones, although I'm not exactly sure on some of them.

Another thing: I replaced the "Industrial" with "Industriel", which is the French translation, but I'm not sure whether I should have done... Maybe you will want to change it back to normal.

Have a nice day

Here I am again to annoy you with some (in my opinion) imperfections.

First thing is the conveyor belts. From those I believe the ones directed north should turn a quarter. As you can see in the picture they can't be directed to a track when they are build on slopes while the southward directed ones can.

Second thing is the direction of some of the facilities. When build on slopes the ones in the second picture can't be "connected" to roads. The shipping office, that can contain two tiles, can't even be aligned on slopes.

It would make me very very happy if these things could be changed. I guess it's just switching some graphics. I could easily do that myself, but maybe others have encountered problems with these little "imperfections".

Kind regards,
Smaug

It doesn't annoy me, I am always pleased to have feedback that points out the imperfections. ;)

Yes, this has been reported here by fjb. And a little further on:
mart3p wrote:There will probably be a version 0.7.1 at some point, this will fix the bugs that have been reported; the missing catenery for goods stations and the incorrect conveyor orientation.
This has now been fixed, ready for v0.7.1.

Thanks for pointing this out. I agree these would be better with the orientations swapped. It's been added to my todo list. :D

I think it may be a little more than just switching graphics. ;) The buildings with animated doors have different door sprite offsets for each orientation.

I overlooked that one. Sorry.

Good to know. That will keep me from messing with my grf; I'll wait for version 0.7.1.

Great work. I'm happy already.

I've done french at A level and will be doing a degree in said subject this year (if i'm accepted). I have looked at the ISR French Strings and have updated them accordingly - station is not the proper french word, it's Gare.

If it would be of any use (or fun) i'll translate them into Welsh. i'm sure someody could translate them into Irish... get me outta here!

I don't think there is much point in translating to Welsh or Irish. :) OpenTTD doesn't currently support either of these languages, and AFAIK there are no translation grfs to use them in TTDPatch.

New French translation seems correct to me. However, I deliberately used "station" rather than "gare", "gare" being the whole station, whereas "station" could represent a part of the "gare". But since some of them stand for the pre-build stations, I reckon leaving "gare" is best.
So I guess that's it with the French translation =)

It makes it clearer which station classes are part of the set, if the names have the same prefix. In German, Aylo has used the prefix "ISR:".

Using "ISR:" may be a good idea to prevent the text being truncated in the OpenTTD purchase list. What do you think?

>cmoiromain, TycoonMarkJ: wallyweb has had a look at the French translation. He says it looks good, but he has one suggestion:
wallyweb wrote:"plate-forme" is acceptable but "quai" may be more appropriate for railroads.
Do you agree, or should I leave it as it is?

Changed the Estonian strings and added "ISR" in front of station class strings. ;)
I didn't put these in the beginning because i thought that it would make these strings too long, but "ISR" is quite short :D

I agree with wallyweb, "quai" seems better.

Here's a small preview of v0.7.1; the updated Goods Station A, now with the catenary working and with the slightly lower train shed.
