[OTTD]-DanMacK's Early-Years OTTD Screenshots
Re: [OTTD]-DanMacK's Early-Years OTTD Screenshots
A few more, the Gander branch has been constructed, and was done in just under 8 months. The first passenger train rolled out of Gander on Sept. 1, 1872. The company purchased another 2-6-0 for use on the construction train, and a new 4-6-0 was purchased in anticipation for passengers. Brand new 4-6-0 No. 14 hauled the first train out of Gander. The 2-6-0 (No. 54) was reassigned to the Gander-Whitehorse run as well.

Nice, get a real sense of remoteness from those pics.
You've got your signals on the wrong side of the line, change your "drive on the left/right" setting - it looks weird!

Thanks
I've always had my signals that way, it allows for a nice uncluttered mainline

Can't wait to see NARS riverboats

Re: [OTTD]-DanMacK's Early-Years OTTD Screenshots
Where for art thou train depot? I have been looking for a full tile, stackable train depot like the one you are using in your latest screenshots. Where can it be found? My search has so far turned up empty. Is it a stand alone depot or part of set? I have Ameecher's Modern Depots but I am looking for something that could be a bit older. Thanks in advance for your reply.

It looks very similar but if you look closely you will notice that it takes up the entire tile. Also look at this post (lower right of the first screenshot) and you will see what I mean by 'stackable'.

Re: [OTTD]-DanMacK's Early-Years OTTD Screenshots
It's Snorbuckle's but for some reason isn't working as a grf in OTTD, so I had to use the exe file to modify the main graphic. A quick search for "Large Depots" will find you what you need.

Re: [OTTD]-DanMacK's Early-Years OTTD Screenshots
Thank you once again DanMack. Knowing what to search for is half the battle. With GrdtoGrf, some old DaleStan posts, and a vague memory of DOS commands I have now gotten what I have been trying to get for quite some time now. I will cease hijacking your great screenshot thread so that you can get on about your business.

Between your new trains, and these new arctic graphics, it hardly looks like the arctic I remember going bankrupt in the first time I got TTD

Thanks Guys
I'm enjoying this immensely
Always loved arctic, it was my favourite climate. Steamships are far on the horizon, but it's be nice to have them now
Anyway, in 1875, the Canadian Central Railway arrived in Ottawa. Passengers could take the trains to Whitehorse and get connecting trains to either Ottawa or Gander.
In early 1876, the Whitehorse coal mine suffered a major collapse and flood and as a result, was forced to close in March of 1876. Undaunted, the trains on this run were reassigned to the Prince Rupert coal line.
After the mine buildings were demolished, the CCR removed the old mine station and realigned the track to Gander.

Re: [OTTD]-DanMacK's Early-Years OTTD Screenshots
Haha
On another note, Zephyris' excellent Generic Road Vehicles set is out, and it's got horse wagons! Testing I started a game on a random map. Without a suitable era-specific industry set yet (we're working on it...
some things will look out of place, that said, here's the first screenshot from Fincombe Transport.
The company started in 1800 with a small wood service to the Fincombe sawmill. Passenger carriages were soon added from the town of Sedean to the east to Fincombe. Goods travel to Fincombe as well. Clay service from a pit near Sedean was also inagurated, and the Fincombe brickworks can be seen in this picture. The town of Old Sedgewick is north of here and also sees regular passenger and mail service with the occasional goods wagon from the brickworks and sawmill.
Fincombe proper is also the very first location of a horse drawn tram line. Citizens are able to get around town by tramcar.
More coming soon

Re: [OTTD]-DanMacK's Early-Years OTTD Screenshots
very nice pictures bro. could you tell where did you get those Vechicles and trains mods

Re: [OTTD]-DanMacK's Early-Years OTTD Screenshots
They're not called "mods" but "grfs" (new graphics), and once you know that, combined with the names of the grfs which have also been mentioned already, it's not exactly hard to look for them in the graphics section of this forum
DanMacK: I'm looking forward to seeing more screens from you with the eGRVTS
These horse carriages are really nice
