I say, leave the speeds alone, just don't make new trains that go too fast. Or planes either. Someday when the engine gets rewritten and the map gets bigger, we could revisit this.

Argh! You seem to be confused; plane speeds for DISPLAYING are all multiplied by 2.5, but the ACTUAL speeds aren't multiplied. So you will never see the ACTUAL speed that it is going unless we get a new fix. So you take your speed displayed in the plane window (the DISPLAYED speed), divide by 2.5, and that's the ACTUAL speed. It's purely a cosmetic thing and it makes no sense at all because you can't accurately compare aircraft with other vehicles, so that's why I want it to be fixed.

But then it will look odd - gee, why is that plane only going 50mph? Wouldn't it fall out of the sky? And, isn't 150mph awfully slow for a jet?

It is going at 150 mph and hence should fall out of the sky -
thats why this entire topic came into being!(i think)

Besides can anybody tell me how difficult it is to change rate of date change - this does in the end have several possibilites in terms of the TTDpatch
