Seriously, that's awesome. I'd love to see a chunky beast of a road train like that on some of the remote roads servicing the various primary industries in the snowy mountains of my current scenario.
Currently working under the name 'reldred' on Github, and Discord.
NFO/NML coder, part-time patch writer for JGRPP, and all round belligerent.

:shock: Good God that thing is a BEAST Insane. Something like that would be waaay too cool. Road trains are a cool option and one I've thought about for awhile. This just takes it to extremes.

That's brilliantly nuts. I'm not promising it, but I'm definitely not ruling it out.

I already was looking at some of the more bonkers 'equipment' that's existed. RG LeTourneau would be the main source of such whacky vehicles, for example, the LeTourneau Land Train - link goes to a Google books preview of the LeTourneau earthmovers book which is full of huge vehicles like triple-bowl scrapers.

There's also Rolligon Corp who have the 14x14 Khan transporter for desert and snow.

These would be fun vehicles to add, but my priority is sorting out some basic equipment to provide feeder services like this one:

That's the behaviour of articulated vehicles anyway. I don't think it's possible to even send them to terminus stops in the first place.

I have been drawing some industries and I would love to be able to use your vehicles. I've not managed to do anything any good myself. I'm not sure exactly what, but if you permit- I will pm you for approval before anything is done.

Your vehicles would be perfect, and I would really appreciate your permission.

Everything I've posted so far is free for use in any way you choose, including modification. But if you do something ugly or distasteful with them I reserve the right to ask you to stop! Please attribute sprites to me.

I'll put a Creative Commons license on them if I get around to

(EDIT). Most of the vehicles are made with layered photoshop files that separate cab, body, chassis etc. I am also happy to share those on request (PM me).

Hmm. Once I have a first release of the Heavy Equipment set, truck stations might need some looking at. The ideal would be the ability to build a few different kinds of truck station (mineral loaders and unloaders for example) Current stations are a bit limited.

This would need coder support :)

Under now uncertain terms should this be included in the set. The day one of those makes it in to TTD is the day I remove my eyeballs*

*note, if anyone does create this for TTD I will be highly unlikely to remove my eyeballs, I shall just not add that .grf. I just feel that if a tourist road train makes it into this set it would ruin a really great set.

Noob trains... although you gotta admit.. it might balance out the total domination of rail. You would finally have a use for highways!

Mining trains.. i use to own toys like that.

I wonder what use could such a tourist road train have in TTD or OTTD. The one in our city doesn't go more that 5 km/hr and goes around the parliament and national park. :roll:

How about moving tourists (from ECS vector) from a station to a castle etc?

I'm not adding it to HE though - if any of you guys want it, go and bother George about it ;)
