You know, I've been wondering the same thing...
I think he might've gotten disappeared... Maybe Chris Sawyer hauled him off and killed him because he was so jealous.

If you follow that topic Maedhros posted, you can see that Michael has posted again since then. He has therefore not been kidnapped, killed or otherwise harmed.
