[OTTD] South America and the Carribean [Updated]

This is my scenario of South America and the Carribean Islands It includes a little over 150 towns, and the city populations are proportionate to their real populations. It is a 2048x2048 map, in the subtropical climate.

Update: I added rivers to the map, which took a really long time to add to the map. Now that I've added rivers, it should be pretty easy to get a nice shipping industry going in the Amazon. I'd love to see some savegames with ships (If you guys make any). Also, the rivers currently don't have any graphics, so you may want to insert a rivers graphic (like OpenGFX Landscape/Terrain) to have better looking riverbanks.

It looks great! Did you base the scenario on a heightmap?

One thing that bothered me: The lack of rivers. You could use this http://www.enchantedlearning.com/geogra ... ed/map.GIF as a basis for the rivers. I had never thought about rivers, but when I finished my map of Cuba (in my sig) I realized how much they add to the "realism" and overall feeling of a map. It's much more interesting to look at a map when it's more detailed than just land and trees (for example the Amazon in your map). You might want to use the river tool, but as for now ships can't go downhill or uphill so lowering the land is better for gameplay.

WOW! Im so glad i gound a South America Scenario! Thank you so much and petert is also one to thank for showing me the link to this, this really should be on BaNaNaS after someone updates it for the newer versions
