Really Full load
There should be possibility for a train to wait at station until all of it's cargo types are loaded to full.
For example i have Oil Rig that produces about 150,000 liters of oil and 30 passangers.
When my train (total cargo limit: 134,000 liters of oil, 16 passangers) arrives at station (waiting: 75,000 liters of oil, 20 passangers) it load all that is waiting at station.
But i want it to wait until also oil is at full, not only passangers.

Re: Really Full load
there's a patch option for that, second in the stations tab
Re: Really Full load
How quaint. I've never noticed that before, it's always bothered me.
What about you? Will you join me when the time comes to be a hero?
Re: Really Full load
Thanks. I didn't know that.
That helps me on that, but what if some train at some station would need to leave as soon as some cargo is full (in same game as in first post of course)
That should be stop-by-stop thing. Like when you press Full-load button first time it says "Full load", second "Full load all" and third time it makes it back to normal stop.

Nice idea, actually. And shouldn't be complicated to implement. Maybe, if I have time this weekend I'll create a small patch offering the third patch option "order-based", which would work as you suggested.MaunoMato wrote: That should be stop-by-stop thing. Re: Really Full load
Can I suggest you call them:
Full Load (any)
Full Load (all)
It will then be obvious what is meant.
Of if you want to make it really really snazzy, have it scan through the cargo and offer each cargo (in biggest load order).
eg. Full Load (any), Full Load (all) and then...
Full Load (coal)
Full Load (water)
Full Load (wheat)
Full Load (any)
Full Load (all)

He's like, some kind of OpenTTD developer.
Re: Really Full load
And 90+% of the time, a train will have only one or two cargos. If you want to have a mega-train with 33 different cargos, then you've got click fest problems already!!peter1138 wrote:"Whoops, I clicked once too many... now I have to click another 33 times to get where I wanted!"richk67 wrote:have it scan through the cargo and offer each cargo (in biggest load order).

It was only an idea (I think a reasonable one.)
[edit]Ahh... maybe you thought I meant offer the generic cargo list of all current cargos for the map. Nope. Not what I meant. I mean scan the current train, and list the cargos of the current train in volume order. So if your train only hauls 3 cargos, you'll only be offered those 3 cargos as explicit loads.

Re: Really Full load
That, I would have done anyway (I even thought about writing this in my last post, because I had the strange feeling that otherwise somebody would suggest this. Are you capable of telepathy and sent me this thoughtrichk67 wrote:Can I suggest you call them:

No, I don'trichk67 wrote:Of if you want to make it really really snazzy,

Honestly, your suggestion is reasonable, but I think this should not be part of a first version.richk67 wrote: have it scan through the cargo and offer each cargo (in biggest load order).
Edit: Especially, as chance for acceptance for trunk decreases exponentially with code size of the patch.

Ah... if its good code, it usually doesnt matter. Just takes a bit more persuasion - but then, these days the dev team are being more open to new ideas than earlier dev teams.PhilSophus wrote:Edit: Especially, as chance for acceptance for trunk decreases exponentially with code size of the patch.

Maybe do the first one, and then have a v2 ready straight away. See what Belugas says about which to consider. He may go for the bigger one, cos it does the changes all in one go, which is sometimes more logical.

Re: Really Full load
Please see this topic for an implementation of order-based selection of full-load any/all cargo.
Please try out the patch and comment on it in the mentioned thread.
