Sorry guys. I've been busy with work and stuff. My computer at home has been out of action as well for about the last two weeks so i've just been browsing the forum at work or from my girlfriends laptop (as i am now). It's the weekend though so i plan to buy a new hard drive tomorrow and hopefully i'll be back up and running soon.

hmm... What about now? With all Sergej_S efforts to make a 32bpp grf it might be interesting to have that cataloguing system up and ready.
If you can't finish it because of time constraints, would you please consider opening the source code for the repository as well as the database structure so that somebody else with more time on his hands can pick it up.
It might even be worth asking the devs if they would consider adding your graphics repository to their SVN repository, just to make sure that your work is not lost.

I'd even consider hosting it on mine, except people seem to be allergic to SSH.LordOfThePigs wrote:It might even be worth asking the devs if they would consider adding your graphics repository to their SVN repository, just to make sure that your work is not lost.

Long time no see. I've been busy but i also forget about this project for a while. I guess i just got caught up with everything else. There has been some progress, Privilege Groups are completed and i'm now working on User Management. Once that is complete i'll be moving on to Sets, Graphic Object Schemes then the Graphic Object themselves. Once all that is done i can work on the browse page to show the graphics.
I've expanded the system to not only be a 32bpp organising tool but a system to organise any graphics project for OTTD. There will just be different sets.
Since everyone likes to look at things here are some screen shots of the privilege groups page.

That's probably a good idea. I've never used SVN though. Maybe it's a good time to learnLordOfThePigs wrote:It might even be worth asking the devs if they would consider adding your graphics repository to their SVN repository, just to make sure that your work is not lost.

I'd very much apriciate any help if someone wants to help. There are a few things that can be done now then worked into the system later. For example a class for tile cutting.

I use nothing but. If i'm using some protocol that's insecure i'll just tunnel it through with ssh.Brianetta wrote:I'd even consider hosting it on mine, except people seem to be allergic to SSH.LordOfThePigs wrote:It might even be worth asking the devs if they would consider adding your graphics repository to their SVN repository, just to make sure that your work is not lost.

Re: Cataloguing new graphics
Hey Wacki,
Not much progress i'm afraid. I feel quite bad about letting you guys down actually. I've just been working my arse off on other projects that are more urgent. Maybe we should find an svn repo somewhere so others can work on it?

Re: Cataloguing new graphics
Wacki/Mexicoshanty: Chromaphase made a brief mention of work on a site here. If you are looking for somebody else to help work on it, or take over on it, I suggest contacting him to see what's going on, and try to arrange something. It would be good to see a place for graphics, since the size of .tars is going to far exceed the 2mb limit in the forum rules (4b), in the very near future.
