How to retain some plane while installing Aviator 8 Plane Se

Hi all,

I love to see Aviator planes. Among my favourite are Boeing & Airbus planes. But I still like original TTD plane whose name is Dinger 1000 (the fastest plane in the game other than Hyperdart). Does anybody know how to set the parameter of Aviator Plane set so I can use all Aviator plane but still be able to use Dinger 1000. I only need Dinger 1000. The other planes is ok if replaced by Aviator set. Can anybodey help me please?

I'm afraid it may not be possible. However, if you have the latest version of Pikkabirds aircraft set you should get the Airbus A380, which replaces the Dinger 1000 nicely.

I'm sure you mean Dinger 200, Weirdy

Simple. Edit Av8 so it does not overwrite the planes you want to keep.

Note that "easy" does not enter into this discussion.

hypercube, are you using TTDP or OpenTTD? I may have a solution if you're using OpenTTD.

Thanks for all your nice replies. I thought nobody would listen, but I was wrong. There's someone out there who listened to me and interested with my problem. Thanks.. .

You now, I was falling in love with TTD since year 1995, and I still love it ever since. Before installing Aviator Planet Set (Av8), I used to concentrated to train only and very rarely used the other vehicles except Dinger 200 (for transporting materials) and DInger 1000 (for transporting passengers), because I don't quiet like them.

But then Pikka's Av8 came out and it's really amazing, especially the Airbus A380, the Boeing 747 & 777 and the Roku. They are my favorites planes. When I play very large map (eg. 1024x1024), I prefer to purchase one of them to make profit quickly. But when I have enough money to afford the Supersonic planes I can't buy Dinger 1000 any more. I don't know where it goes. Maybe its ID is the same with one of AV8 planes so it gets replaced.

I use Open TTD now. To dev|ant, would you please let me know how to keep Dinger 1000 without removing AV8 grf? Thanks in advance...

I may have a patch for OpenTTD that will allow you to keep the original aircraft while also using AV8. It still needs work though so give me a few more days...
