There are Mac binaries available at the Mac ChrisIN repo - http://www.mattedesign.co.uk/openttd/chrisin/

The latest is r11204-ChrisIN, I should be compiling r11245 today if I get the chance.

Edit: r11245-ChrisIN is now up. Chris, do you fancy sticking the Mac repo in your first post? Easier than updating this thread every new page :p

Also, Starbud, if you're having any compilation problems that you need help with shoot me a PM - I'll see if I can help.

Anyone else having problems getting autoreplace to work in ChrisIN-r11245? It doesn't seem to work for me.

Hi Chrissicom
I am getting an error when using ECS beta 3 grf's in r11245 ChrisIN (tried with only ECS grf's & along with other GRF's[with nightly,read below]) .
The error is that whether i start a new game or try to fund a new industry of any kind in running game , i am not able to do so. The only Industry I am getting on starting a new game are the fishing boats.
When i went to scenario editor & tried to place industries individually i wasn't able to do so. the same happened when i tried to use the random industries option however i noticed that multiple industries were created on water!!!!
This error is not seen when using the latest Nightly 11257 (I don't know if it worked with r11245, B'coz i tried the nightly after i got error with ChrisIN).
I am attaching the screen shots below. I don't have any saved games as i couldn't play without any industries. Also since the error occurs when i play with ChrisIN only ,i think the ECS grf's are being interfered with by some patch in it.

If I'm not mistaken, this bug was fixed in r11251 of trunk . Well... at least, the cannot build one.
As for the build on water one, i've seen it once, but could not repeat it again. I will try to fix it as soon as i can reproduce it

Oops!! my mistake then :oops:. If its fixed, I do believe it is as I was not getting the error in NIGHTLY r11257, then the next version of ChrisIN will not have this error... :) :) :)

Hi Chris....I am a big fan of your version.... is it possible for you to integrate a few patches every time you release a version. i have no idea about how to compile game with patches or diff files and this keeps me off from enjoing all the good stuff that is being developed.

secondly , i've installed openttd on win95x ttd and then installed your version, but i'm not able to build trams ....can you suggest possible resolution.

for your first question, well that is what he's doing, isn't it? he integrated a lot of patches to the standard ottd, and keeps it up to date...

for trams, you also need to use a .grf with trams, because there are no trams in the standard vehicle selection of (O)TTD.
Look for grfs here: http://grfcrawler.tt-forums.net/ or in the "Graphics" sections of OTTD and TTDPatch here in the forums. (you'll find more in TTDPatch's Graphics section)

yes absoultely, he is integrating them but if you will see the change log , there has not been a significant patch for quite some time ....i can understand that it requires a lot of effort, but just my sugestion .....

Well but that's only because all significant additions available like shared tracks or passenger destinations are not bug free and don't work well in all situations yet so I don't want to include them :) and besides these two I actually believe to have included all major additions already. Right now I am investing more time into syncing and optimizing :) When you found a cool patch I've missed let me know though so I can have a look if I can include it.

Edit:
Just posted a new build with Close airports included (thanks again to the author for updating the patch) and with syndicated trunk which fixes a few new industry bugs I believe. Also copy & paste is now working for all transport types (including road bridges) again. Thanks to Frostregen for the help :)

When building a debug build the game will assert on a new game, that's a known bug in trunk. It does not affect gameplay with the release build which I have added as a prebuilt version in the first post :). I just say this for people building by themselves so they don't wonder when they get asserts on debug builds.

Re-uploaded the .zip from the first post, only the English language file was working :)

Sorry to sound thick , but what is actually achieved with the above mentioned patch . Could you not just demolish the airport ? :idea:

And what if 50 aircraft travel to this airport and there's no chance to demolish it because there are always a few aircraft landing/starting ;)

Sorry ChrisIN but I can't seem to build any industries...
And for the saved games they still need/produce passengers and passengers and...

Is this something I am doing wrong or not?

I've got this error when i start new game. it appears only sometime, probably the new face patch is the problem

I've only seen this with debug builds. Did it happen for you with a release build?

Sir Boey, do you mean that you are completely unable to build industries? There seems to be still some problem with new industry grfs but since ChrisIN does not change anything about grf or industry handling it's likely to be a trunk bug.

You're compiling with MSVC, right? MSVC release builds disable asserts, so you wouldn't see it even if it does happen.

MSYS release builds may or may not disable asserts, though.
To get a good answer, ask a Smart Question. Similarly, if you want a bug fixed, write a Useful Bug Report. No TTDPatch crashlog? Then follow directions.
