Re: [TTDP] Ameecher's Screenshots
You screens are amazing. I love how you tackle mountains in the last few... Screen 111 and 131 are great!

Re: [TTDP] Ameecher's Screenshots
I like to build realistically even if the places and maps aren't realistic, scr131 evolved strangely from a single track that got doubled, then the bridges were built over the original line resulting in this layout.
Thanks
Thanks

Re: [TTDP] Ameecher's Screenshots
Same game and got 9 screenshots to show you.
1. Mefingley Market station was in an awkward location for expansion, it also didn't have a very good catchment area. As a consequence a new station was built between Mefinglay Market and Huningville. Here it is shortly after opening. 2. In the early 90's it was decided that some of the self contained sections of the network or sections that didn't have any trains running for long distances on the main network would be privatised. One such line was the Hedtown to Muworth line, consisting of 3 intermediate stations and an interchange with the mainline at each end, it was an ideal candidate for such a privatisation scheme. Track and stations were sold to Plunborough Bergbahn. An advantage of privatisation was that services previously neglected by the main company because mainlines were more profitable were vastly improved. A single, ageing loco hauled train was replaced by 2 brand new express trains and 4 second-hand multiple units and some battery powered rail cars that were purchased from the National Railway company.
Seen here are 2 of the EMUs and 2 railcars at the centrally located station on the route. The terminus platforms are served by another private company. 3. Wrundingville Bergbahn was another private company that was created in the 90's. It deals with all services to Wrundingville and has even opened a new line into the mountains that has been proved very popular. Seen here is one of the 3 ET-30s that it purchased from the previous owner of the line. Also is seen is the ET-87 that used to run the line before privatisation. Seen privatisation there has been an increase of services, newer trains and a wider variety of destinations.

4. A giant screenshot of the Hennwell and Hedtown area. The Wrundingville Bergbahn operate services over the lake to the north of Hennwell (except the huge coal trains) and the Plunborough Bergbahn operate out of the terminus platforms on the north side of Hedtown station.
5. Muworth is the other end of the Plunborough Bergbahn (PBB). PBB use the terminus platforms. Since PBB took over the route they have introduced freight to the line and a connecting line to join the PBB tracks with those of the national network were created to allow transportation of fish and coal.
6. Chudhall and Chinnpool had a new airport built with the old airport being sold to a Wundingville Bergbahn for their air services into the heart of the mountains.
Re: [TTDP] Ameecher's Screenshots
Have you upgraded to the new BK Tunnels? Or do you not like the concrete foundations? Dont worry, its not a loaded question, Im just curious!
Nice shots as usual though!

Re: [TTDP] Ameecher's Screenshots
Ben, Not upgraded and can't admit to being a fan of the concrete foundations
Thanks though
7. Giant screenshot of the Little Chanway area. Due to major blockages at Little Chanway becoming an increasingly annoyingly common occurence an avoiding line that I had intending to build for about 40 years eventually got built. That was after all the reason for the new motorway bridges that I built all those years ago... 8. The companies. 9. The map. Request screenshots if you like That's me done for the moment

So much for it not being a loaded questionBen_K wrote:Ameecher wrote:Ben, Not upgraded and can't admit to being a fan of the concrete foundationsThanks though
Have you tried them on a map, out of interest?
They dont look so bad!

Re: [TTDP] Ameecher's Screenshots
Very nice as always. How much longer will you play for?

It wasn't... Im just not sure you've tried them in action yet and Id like to know your opinion!Ameecher wrote:So much for it not being a loaded questionBen_K wrote:Ameecher wrote:Ben, Not upgraded and can't admit to being a fan of the concrete foundationsThanks though

each person has their own personal preference, I'm currently employing my personal preference.

...and sadly Mr.A, you should give up trying to employ clever answers as it doesnt wash.

Re: [TTDP] Ameecher's Screenshots
you are quite correct, I haven't tried them. However, I don't really see a need to upgrade to something that I don't like, that was what I was getting at.Ben_K wrote:It wasn't... I also value yours but recently there hasn't been anything to offer an opinion on and if there has I haven't had the time to form an opinion. With regard the new foundations, I posted my views on themIve always valued your opinion but sadly you seem to be rather reluctant to give it recently....
You say that and add a wink to the end... I wasn't being clever either, for the record....and sadly Mr.A, you should give up trying to employ clever answers as it doesnt wash.
Re: [TTDP] Ameecher's Screenshots
New game, with UKRS and pb_build and various other things.
First three shots are of an important intermediate stop on the mainline. There is a local service that terminates here and many trains stop on longer distance runs. However the longest distance trains and freight don't stop. This is the station before improvements. Phase one of the work saw a through line added. Phase two saw a south facing bay added and the north facing bay relocated. Also two new waiting rooms were built in the style of the old station building.

Re: [TTDP] Ameecher's Screenshots
Thanks Raichase
Now then, I've got myself a major problem with my network and it's called Nunfingbridge. The screenshot shows the extent of the problem. Basically, too much traffic is trying to negotiate the towns two railway stations. *SIGH* I'll sort it out at some point. It might involve routing as much freight through the old station as possible (the old station is on the north side of town and used to have a through track until the new "Central" station was opened, then most traffic was diverted this way and the old station relegated to a mere, peak-time only, commuter station.

Re: [TTDP] Ameecher's Screenshots
Is it possible to add another track between Kindinghall and the junction near Nunfingbridge? May make segregation easier.

So 4 track the line between Kindinghall and Nunfingbridge?Badger wrote:Is it possible to add another track between Kindinghall and the junction near Nunfingbridge? May make segregation easier.
I've managed to ease the pressure currently by diverting grain trains to the brewery via the Northern station and trains that cross over the northern line on the bridges no longer stop at the Central station. I've also extended the loops that the southern platform of Central station is on so that a train can queue for platform space without blocking the through tracks. It works a bit better now

I do need to work on adding another terminus platform to Kindinghall though. That's gonna be harder.

Re: [TTDP] Ameecher's Screenshots
Rubbish, it may look good but at least your networks actually move! My one managed to get itself into such a jam that I had a loop of trains stuck round Nenfingbridge in such a way that I couldn't clear the problem! After some fixing and altering, this is the result.Raichase wrote:Whoa, the giant screenie kicks the crap out of anything I've done in the last decade
