No we can't round it to 74 ticks, because with daylenght set up to 10, it should be rounded to 740, and there is no reason the train wait a so long time.KrevRenko wrote:Well that's what I meant when I said that having a day-like base unit that would be equal to a day would not break anything. It's just that the 74 ticks in a timetable will not be called days, but for example base-days (or bds)that way you would not have to adjust other patches and play according to their settings. I think the optimal solution is leaving the rounding to 74 ticks is OK as it is a simple human-perceptible time quantum to show a difference between two trains moving but not too long.
Anyway, every timetable entry must be controled by the player anyway, in order to avoid lateness if the train have to sto for any reason. So even if the game set "1 tick or 74 ticks" somewhere, you'll always need to change it to "600" by exemple if you use a train, or "200" if you use a bus (common time used to fully unload/load). But with travel time, there is no contrôlable value. I prefer it fits the reallity, so I can decide which time fix I set up, rather than having a round that just make the timetable unaccurate so I don't know if the train actually took 100 ticks or 700 ticks to travel.
