Or not.
I understand that it's kind of amusing, and that a lot of people here ARE British (and I love some of you so very much), but for the users from the other parts of the world, it's a bit repetitive. I'm sure you'd get a bit fussy if I posted photos of K-Sets, C-sets, S-Sets etc in different threads, even though, to most people, they look the same?
It also makes it harder for those of us with limited time here to actually keep up to date on the forums...
Thankyou.
P.S. I'm not "laying down the law, moderizzle style", I'm simply asking to keep the thread count down, please? Thankyou
P.P.S. Lets see if this "leave topic sticky for x days" thing works...

Re: British Train Appreciation Club
Seems to be a thread to talk about each and every specific type of multiple unit in the United Kingdom, past present and future. I got no problem with how people discuss their hobby (just a few minutes ago on Railpage Australia I was ripping into someone for having a go at someone else because they are interested in the NR Class of diesels), but the sheer volume of threads for a topic that most people don't understand anything about is a bit much.Train-a-Mania wrote:What exactly are these appreciation clubs, anyway?
Just wanted to curb it before it got out of hand.

Re: British Train Appreciation Club
Just make threads with general chat about *** country Railways/Transport. Just like my Belgium/Dutch Transport thingy;
http://www.tt-forums.net/viewtopic.php? ... ilit=Dutch
Makes it easier to read, and you can maybe use the first post to make a list with the units running etc. Makes it also intresting for people from other country`s.
(And a sticky wich is listing all of the country transport threads.)

Re: British Train Appreciation Club
Well, I wouldn't have them limit all discussion to one thread, but it was a commentary about the recent surge of threads on one very related topic...
Anyway, I've had my say, thanks to those that listened
