Ta very much, obliged as always.

When I get a decent bit of time I'll start up a new map of me own and get some pics posted again.

Meanwhile keep the realism coming, can't be doing with the mono/maglev mess!

I was worried that my brick sprites were a little light in colour (As I think you mentioned to me) but they seem to match very well as they are. :)

Well I created that in 5 minutes flat, it's just 7 pieces of track that are about 15 tiles long, a clover leaf takes more time! ;)

Er... would now be a good time to tell that it's too late? :P I'm just joking, I can't stand the things either. It took a great amount of will power to turn of a newgrf train set and actually build them :o

Fine Fine Fine...

Screenshots coming up of the rebuilt areas. I might do a map too.

1) Huntingdon before the upgrade, there terminal tracks with class 47s from Eston Junction and beyond providing the main service. The line to Uffington has always been a bit forgotten and is operated by a single Standard 5 with 5 coaches, no mail service exists between the two cities.

2) St. Quivox. A small town on the Uffington to Huntingdon line, despite having platforms on the "main" line no trains stop here. Only the small privately owned, tank engine powered service to Milton Abbott provides a service.

Note: I hadn't noticed that the forest had disappeared. The trains are just stopped until I can be bothered to reroute/sell them.
3) rebuilt St. Quivox. The branch remains, the line to Uffington has been doubled and electrified to conincide with the electrification of the lines arround Uffington. New Class 86s operate the line with a rake of 9 coaches. Also, an EMU operates a stopping service that calls at St. Quivox. Major work was underatken at St. Quivox removing the down platform and resignalling the area.

Yes I know the wood trains now can't go anywhere. I'm working on it!

Hang on! I'm not done yet!

4) Huntingdon rebuilt, remarkably, while this station was rebuilt all services continued to run (and I didn't use buildwhilepaused!) The lines from Uffington were moved to the new platforms first while the Eston lines were reduced to a single platform. Then the new Eston line platforms were added, services diverted to there via the old route to Huntingdon, then tunnelling began and the through platforms were added. Now there are 4 Eston Junction - Huntingdon - Uffington trains.

6) My scribblings of what stock runs what. These aren't an exhaustive list of what stock runs on what routes (There are variations on each route but these are the trunk lines). There are also local services on each line either run by 37s on longer distance stoppers or a suitable D/EMU. For instance around Eston Junction AM2/10s run Grantham to Bishop's Stortford while a MetCam 101 runs the Grantham to Epsom route. A bunch of AM10s also run the Dartford - Ascot - Eston Junction (and some continue to Bishop's Stortford)

Edit: request screenshots if you wish and I'll see if I can make the area that you want screenshotting worthy of screenshotting.

Demanding so and so :P

1) Milton Abbot/Nantwich/Glossop. This is a rather busy line with only the local and mail trains stopping at these three stations. All the locals are formed of AM10s while the expresses that run non-stop Uffington to Warminster are formed of 47s or 55s. The little branch line loco can be seen chuffing away to. Nantwich station is placed not how I'd like but the lie of the land is such. Plans for this line include Introducing stopping expresses to Glossop and making Glossop 4 platforms* and either adding a bypass line or through tracks to Milton Abbott and Nantwich.
*This could prove problematic with that fuel depot in the way...

2) Cumbernauld. Recently had through tracks added. The Steelmill is fairly dormant since the Iron Ore mine supplying it ran into financial difficulty and had to lay off workers and cut production.
scr39.PNG
scr39.PNG (154.86 KiB) Viewed 2781 times
3) Epsom. The Dartford direct boat train was cut back in the '50s and the town now sees a Grantham to Epsom Quay direct train to connect with the boat to Leicester. There is also the DMU that runs between Eston Junction and the town station. Something I didn't mention earlier was that when this line was built it was originally going to go across the hilly headland to Leicester but difficult terrain and even more difficult accounts department put a halt to this plan and so the ferry port was created. The port was used for a while for onward shipment of goods but this has ceased since wood production has somewhat faltered.

And a picturesque little one. A 47 on a Huntingdon to Lunsford's Cross skirts Epsom Bay near Eston Junction.

Yeah, this game suits the foundations.

Sorry Badger (and others, but he shows the most interest). I'm having to end this game because of a problem with articulated road vehicles that has been fixed by uninstalling TTDP and reinstalling it, however this game is still buggered. So here we go, a final load of screenshots.

1) A Scania Irizar Coach crosses the extensive yards to the south of Eston on the brand new motorway from Epsom to Bishop's Stortford and Epsom, while a container train heads to the docks at Epsom.

2) The motorway at Eston. A new tram scheme uses the central reservation. An Ansaldo T69 heads to Eston Junction station while an Epsom express bus arrives from the Motorway.

3) After many years a bridge between Epsom and Wixford has been built resulting in the end of the ferry service between the two towns, pictured is the last ferry service loading at Epsom. The station at Epsom Quay also closed but remains in place.

Final load of screenshots.

4) The Nantwich and Glossop area. An avoiding line has been built along which passes an HST. Freight and stopping trains use the old route.

5) Warminster after a freight avoiding line has been added due to increased coal production that saw coal trains blocking the station.
SCR6.png
SCR6.png (187.89 KiB) Viewed 1291 times
6) Since the introduction of long container trains (see scr2) the through lines at Eston would often block because the container trains would block the junctions at each end of the through tracks. So the flyover to the north was tasked with taking the through traffic from Dartford and Ascot. Compare this shot to the earlier one of Eston. Suprisingly this solution actually worked.
