Help with coding: Double headed and articulated vehicles

Post by Zephyris »

I'm struggling to get into nfo coding, and im getting stuck with 2 main things, double headed trains and articulated road/rail vehicles. I would be immensely grateful if someone could provide me with basic (working!) examples of double headed train, articulated train (2 parts) and an articulated road vehicle (3 parts). Following me disecting and fully understading these then I plan to make a basic tutorial on "mid level" nfo coding...

In return I can provide you with 8bpp, 32bpp or even 3d graphics :).

Actually, to be fair, he may have made the valid assumption that some people may only read either forum and not both the OTTD and TTDP graphics ones. I guess the best thing is to get a mod to duplicate it so that it shows in both. :)

I'm sure there are people who read only one of those two fora. But, of the people who read only the OTTD graphics forum, how many do you think are able/willing to debug NFO?
To get a good answer, ask a Smart Question. Similarly, if you want a bug fixed, write a Useful Bug Report. No TTDPatch crashlog? Then follow directions.

You have a semi-decent excuse, Zephyris. (Though a little looking would probably reveal more NFO-ish discussion in the Patch forums than the Open forums.) Ben, OTOH, should know that this is not the place to ask about NFO.
