I welcome all!
It is my copy of the screen, I did(made) her(it) for check of models of transport, as above models two artists worked. First very much for a long time has deserted this project, and second, on which I very much expected,
Is very much engaged, and can not continue job for final result.
If there is a free artist able to work in 3D Studio Max - I I can to him tell, how it is necessary make ready job...
Yours faithfully to all visitors of a forum
Sergej

Hmm, he's back again.
[sarcastic mode] Well, I see you've learned your lessons.
Nice to see you give credits to dmh_mac for the lumber mill and light tower, joed for the toolbar, wacki for some buildings, and I probably forget somebody.[/sarcastic mode]
BTW do you know that the 32 bpp branch has stopped, and the tar loader does not work for 32bpp trunk, rendering all your tars worthless?

Oh, if only it could read English.
To get a good answer, ask a Smart Question. Similarly, if you want a bug fixed, write a Useful Bug Report. No TTDPatch crashlog? Then follow directions.

bulls***. You can untar and still use it. So worthless.... nah! And soon the tar-loader will be done...GeekToo wrote: BTW do you know that the 32 bpp branch has stopped, and the tar loader does not work for 32bpp trunk, rendering all your tars worthless?
The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.
You can untar them but then it still won't work: you have to resize all 256 px tiles to 64 px tiles. Rename the filename to the correct sprite number name.TrueLight wrote: You can untar and still use it. So worthless.... nah! And soon the tar-loader will be done...
And then use PNGCodec to add the x and y offset to every png file. So that's what I meant with worthless, you cannot download them, add them to the game and play.
Looking forward to the new tar loader! I think a very good job has been done for 32bpp in trunk: compared to the branch it works very stable, and I haven't seen any graphic artefacts, which certainly wasn't the case in the branch. So keep up the good work.

This is the correct method for proper 256px tiles, but ones in the screenshot respect no scale. Not all the work of the artists can be adjusted, as many buildings cover more than 2 tiles which is not yet supported. We have to wait for that. And as I have repeatedly said we should be strick about scaling or game will look like guernica.GeekToo wrote:...you have to resize all 256 px tiles to 64 px tiles.

64: ~6pixels/floor (1floor~3m -> 2pixels=1height_meter : 1p=0.5m)
128: ~12pixels/floor (1 floor~3m -> 4pixels=1 height_meter : 1p=0.25m)
256: ~24pixels/floor (1 floor~3m -> 8pixels=1 height_meter : 1p=0.125m)
(Does someone have another suggestion? Possibly many will disagree about the values for 128 and 256 (rule of 12,5m = 1 tile), but at least let us agree with those for 64, since this is the norm in original game. And I believe this should be added into the wiki, if not included yet.)

Wanton flaming of a man comes back to the forums AGAIN, I notice.
I'm sorry, but when I post a screenshot in my screenshot thread I don't give credits to EVERY SINGLE THING IN THE PICTURE.
Sergej didn't claim the buildings to be his own, he just used a screenshot with them in. Last time I looked, that wasn't illegal even by the forum's own etiquette.

Come on children, please. Do a bit of growing up and get on with it.
