You could use the Canadian Stations Set v0.3, which has snowline support in temperate and arctic; i.e. variable or seasonally changing snowline - read the user guide for parameter settings. It also has custom fence support; i.e. no fences, TTD 'original', Canadian and hedges (temperate), stonewalls (arctic).

Mickeye wrote:I already have Alpine.grf (I'm actually using it), but it's basically an arctic climate with temperate sprites. If I want to have temperate grass in arctic I could also use grassconversion.grf, so that's not the solution. As far as I know there's only ECSTown.grf which adds snow to temperate with temperate sprites, but it'll block all other industry on the map. [...]
I don´t really understand your problem.

Yes, AlpineClimate is based on arctic, not temperate. However, you´ll have all the usual temperate buildings and industries acting with a varying snowline. So, essentially, there´s only the "towns above snowline need food" feature and the higher mountains left from the original arctic climate.

Or do you have a temperate savegame which you simply want to add snow to?

The problem was solved, I just wanted snow in temperate with temperate sprites, that's all.

I know this is really digging up old stuff, but going back to the first page...
The Irish wrote:I think all of these should be uploaded on GrfCrawler.

Is it allowed to load up Grfs there if you just have them converted from an exe file? I don't even know who is the author of the bigdepots and woodendocks?

But anyhow, I think at least Rob's bridge should be uploaded.
I made the graphics for the bigdepots and made the original windows exe, and I see the bigdepots.grf isn't on GrfCrawler yet. Is it alright to upload it under my name if I didn't convert to grf myself? Is a grf made by the GRDtoGRF program suitable with whatever changes have been made in the long time I've been away? :P

Provided you use a valid GRFID (not FF FF FF FF) and, preferably, a proper name and description, yes.
To get a good answer, ask a Smart Question. Similarly, if you want a bug fixed, write a Useful Bug Report. No TTDPatch crashlog? Then follow directions.

The original thread is here, but all of the download links appear to be dead, except for one on the last page for the alternate helipad version. If anyone can help me out it would be appreciated! :)

Hey everybody,
I was just wondering where I could find newcargosw.grf. I've looked everywhere I could think of but haven't been able to find it.

Any help is much appreciated,
Sir Bob

I've noticed that some of the Jim Powers's scenarios require "newcargosw.grf", but I don't seem to be able to find it. The link earlier in this topic no longer works. Can someone provide a working link?

The file I'm looking for seems to be different, or at least its name is: "newcargosw.grf". Otherwise I have the "New cargo types (v0.12)" newgrf, but the name of .GRF is missing that "S" and is probably somewhat different...

I doubt it's different.
Why don't you just try it.
It won't burn your computer, I hope.

I surely try, but the problem is I have to somehow find all the same GRFs and there are lots of them used in the scenario I'm trying to play. So things like this just make me wonder if they are not the reason why it won't work.
