buy 100% other company share in a saved multi player game?

i had saved a game from a multi player game some days ago,
now i play this saved game as a tutorial
but i want to buy 100% other company's share
that means merge with other company
i am sure i have enough money to do it
but i can only no more than 75%
and some company is partly holded by other player
(former human player in multi player,now computer player)
some had no share in other player
neither i can buy this company
why?
or only i can do this in a REAL single player game?

You can do that only in real single player game, multiplayer savegame structure is unfortunately little different. That was possible only with subsidiaries patch (was included also in MiniIN).

The mini In was a build of openttd that had quite a lot of patches in that weren't found in the trunk. It's no longer updated/built. The last build is here I believe.

The Mini Integrated Nightly is a special build of OpenTTD, which incorporates patches which have yet to be approved for the main code. It is currently maintained by richk67. "Its like OTTD's smarter younger brother; a bit dirty and smelly at times, but tons of energy, and lots of ideas - some more realistic than others."[1] --richk67

Unfortunatly, the MiniIN project was stopped some time ago.. the subsidiaries patch is however still available (though I'm not sure if it's up to date) and can be downloaded from these forums.

In the subsidiaries patch you could, instead of merging your companies, buy out the company and let it continue as if nothing happened, unless you took over control, in which case you could demolish buildings, lay track buy vehicles etc.. as that company.
