factory transparent mode suggestion:

Post by m3henry »

how about having a replacement for the factory in TTD, only changing the transparent view of the factory from what it looks like now to a factory floor or something that blends in with the rest of the buildings.

The default factory is coded in a strange way. Part of the building is drawn as the ground tiles, so, any way of averting this couldn't just Action A it.

it's not coded strangely, it's cut up strangely... should be possible to do with only action A by cutting it up properly and drawing some ground tiles. the same is true for the shopping mall.

perhaps it was done this way because originally there were no ground tiles.

Nah. O/c there are ground tiles.

The only problem is that some of these ground tiles appear like building tiles to the uninspired eye. :P
