Does this mean that 0.5.0 can load TTDP scenarios (trp's) as long as they don't unsupported graphics?Darkvater wrote: Changes since RC5:

To get a good answer, ask a Smart Question. Similarly, if you want a bug fixed, write a Useful Bug Report. No TTDPatch crashlog? Then follow directions.

Re: OpenTTD 0.5.0 (Final)
Are there special TTDP scenarios? I was not aware of that. OpenTTD can load all TTD savegames and scenarios. Since a few months TTDP games have changed their internal format slightly (coastal tiles) thus failing on load. That has been fixed. Now however OTTD also reads what grf files have been used in the TTDP game so that works as well mostly (of course if it's not something drastic like newhouses/newindustries for which there is no support yet).dtb1322 wrote:Does this mean that 0.5.0 can load TTDP scenarios (trp's) as long as they don't unsupported graphics?
Yes, I am curious about that as well myself. It surely isn't present on windows (XP).DaleStan wrote:... on what OSen?

I was thinking especially of the Jim Powers scenarios which are "trp#.sv0" files? I know that some of them have subways , which I don't think are supported by OTTD.Darkvater wrote:Are there special TTDP scenarios? I was not aware of that. Subways? It's not often that I learn about a new TTDPatch feature by reading the OpenTTD forums.

Maybe I have got it wrong, (I've only been here in the forums since mid January; I'm still a newbie). In the Jim Powers scenarios, known for large cities, he uses subways (or at least that's what I think he calls them).DaleStan wrote:Subways? In any case, can 0.5.0 open/use trp files?

He justs uses loads of tunnels, and the trains only go out them so they can enter a junction, something that isn't possible underground.

They aren't trp files, they are .sv0 files. Yes they work, and have worked.dtb1322 wrote:In any case, can 0.5.0 open/use trp files?

I wouldn't know, but I guess OTTD can't because Jim Powers might have some switches on that OTTD doesn't support. It never hurts to try though.

I tought there was a abandoned project about subways on the forums somewhere. Is it anywhere near possible with some sort of new map array to have them?
Debian package
I've build an inoffical debian package (using Ubuntu 6.10) If anyone needs I'll upload it.
