[OTTD] Brianetta's Standard Server
If you play on my server, you never know when I've got my camera out (as Sacro can attest).
Here are some shots I took of a couple of recent games. Feel free to dive in with commentary, claims, etc. I'm not going to bother attributing stuff to players - those who want fame will just have to pipe up.
To begin with, some suburban shots. These are all from one company. The stations have a corporate feel to them, and there's great variety in the trains. I liked that.

Next, some shots showing scenes that I just found aesthetically pleasing. No justification; this is my thread!

Now for some shots that showed the general liveliness of the game. Remember, competing for resources is allowed and encouraged on my server, whereas sabotage is not. This does lead to some colourful scenes.

Last post in this thread for tonight: I love comparing scenes as the years change them. This scene always looked good, with lorries driving over the viaduct as the milk trains rumbled beneath.

The blue company in all the shots, was my creation.
I kinda focused on suburban mass-transit in that game as there wasn't A LOT of freight to be moved in the region i started in, and i wasn't exactly exited in funding factories, and power plants to actually move some cargo. Trans Rail Authority popped up as the first company for a while after Lightglobe's company reigned dominant, then my company got topped off by "Player Transport" due to him using airplanes wich rather easily gained profit compared to my trains, and then i got dropped 3rd by someone elses company(I think it was Cheap & Fast Air or something at one time) cause i stopped expanding somewhere i think it was 2005 or 2007.
Most notable feature amongst my trains was realistic numbering(or very close to realistic, i couldn't get the MU's right mostly i.e a common sprinter unit of the TRA would have name of "TRA - 150 101-104" where 101-104 means that the train in question has 4 motor units, and their numbered from 01 to 04, and as a example of numbering a engine one of the Class 47's(UKRS name being Type 3) i had had the name "TRA - 47 010 meaning its tenth engine of its class in my service, and its a class 47.
The company had over 100 MU Motor units pulling some suburban trains at its height, but i think that number got reduced quite a bit when the "Hydra" came out, and about was it 10 or 20 engine pulled trains, wich totaled at somewhere near 30 to 40 trains.
Though the one in Pleasing4 is from a entirely diffrent game than the other shots, that games company fell flat on its face due me not being there to micromanage the trains so the company actually would've made profit until it got off a economic slippery slope..

Why are you rummaging around on grfcrawler? As Akalamanaia says, it's on the server's site. It's the last row in the newgrf table.GameR wrote:thx but i cant find the PGS on the grf crawler. and the basic platforms. can anyone help me get those?
In case you're wondering, the server's site is http://ppcis.org/standard/ (which is referenced in the server's name).
