See, now THESE are the quality of screenies we've been missing from OTTD players, before we had this forum. I'm so used to just seeing maps of boring 'ol maglev everywhere, but this... this is nice :))

Well, some different ones, from the same game. Now they are done with the ingame screenshot. It's the early nineties, one of my favourite times because I startet travelling round the north of germany by train using a special summer offer for highschool-students that time. Michael Blunck's DBSetXL is excellent to build the trains of the time...

Those are cool :)). Nice big cities, thats a nice thing about larger maps - large citys have more room to grow without merging with every other town on the map first :P

BTW: How can I add pictures in that way that they're visible in the forum directly?

Well, you attach them to another server, and then use the images link in [img][/img] tags, so that they show up automatically.

Although, images that are not too large for the forums will show up when attached, it's just that yours are too big to fit on the forum page without breaking the tables (ie, forcing people to scroll horizontally to read text), so they have to be opened in a new tab/window.

I usually crop my screenies in irfranview, so that they can be viewed without opening a new window, but your screenies show a lot going on in them, and I'm unsure of if you could crop them at all.

I'll share a couple of examples. The first image is cropped to show just the subject, the latter is the un-edited screenie.

AFAIK, OTTD got them in the last couple of months? I'm sure an OTTD chap could correct me on that, but it's a fairly recent addition to the Mini-in games, as I saw them when playing on Aegirs server...

They are only in MiniIN last time I checked, although it could be possible that they've been added to the trunk already, but maybe someone who checks trunk progress all the time could say the current status on that.

He's using the MiniIN, as there's a subsidary colour on the bottom toolbar.

Maedhros is an active developer, so who knows, maybe we'll see diagonal crossings in the trunk in the future! :P

Nice urban screenshots. Esp. the one with New Stations - surely OpenTTD has seen a great development recently!

The very sad thing is: He has. The train in th picture has beeen stopped because of a red light. But for some reason the traffic lights didn't show red anymore an two or three busses ran into the train... That's the funny part when playing the MiniIN...

Umm, you mean to say that MiniIn allows RVs to crush into rail vehicles, not vice versa? Now that would be interesting!! Surely the bus drivers therefore can now unite into a trade union and defend their rights by crushing into unaware trains...

So it's me again... This time I'll present some pix from the game I started during the holidays... First track was layed on 23rd of December, now we're on 28th and in game it's 1942... BTW: I used DBSetXL for the game and the aviotors set. Daylength is four times longer than in usual TTD an advanced city beheaviour is on since the very first day - track laying costs are extremely high with this option, so don't say I'm lame...

Enjoy the pics,

Don

Again, the Station of Essen. Till now it isn't a problem for the station to handle the traffic. But in the near future the rout heading north shall become extended. Will the station handle this?

So let's leave Essen and have a look around. The following pictures have been taken round the years, there's no logical order. But these are some of my favourites in the actual game.

Dannenhaven is the next stop on the main line coming from Essen. The P8 (steam train) is a local train heading for Essen. The train just crossed some metro tracks.
