[TTDP] Sir Bob's Picture Pandemonium

Post by Sir Bob »

Hi,

This will be a topic about towns that start with an offical population of 0

I then provide services to make it grow.

Oh, and I'll show the rest of my network as well

An interesting concept! Do these zero-towns accept anything?

Who in their right mind would found a town, build two parks, a small patch of road, and then leave? No houses or anything! Perhaps people would show up if the twit built a link to another town, but he's just founded this town with two parks and left!

Sir Bob, you've got some guts if you want to clean up that guys mess. Perhaps you can help the town grow, but they better damn well name it after you! 'Cause the founder ain't done nothing to help anyone!

Well, seing I have ultimate power over everything I guess the town could be named after me.

The hardest part of this so far hasn't actually been playing it but finding a scenario that has a town of 0 people.

I'll keep on posting.

You could always try making custom scenarios. Or using the editor to demolish/replace towns with ones of 0 population.

I think he means that constructing a town with zero people is hard because you can't build individual houses. (like LoMo)
The occasional look back at your past can teach you a great many things...

Yes you can, by building a new "small town", then adding houses using a CTRL-click and the rock tool. Csaboka wrote that patch in a while ago now. That way, you keep adding/removing buildings until it's a pop of 0 but with something that produces passengers.

This is not always going to be about small towns and thus I have decided to show you some screenies from the original Scotland scenario I have been playing. Enjoy :D

I'll have to trawl through my savegames to take some more screenies. :P
