I am currently trying to bring the MiniIN back into sync with trunk, but it is proving complex. The window widget system has changed, so all patches that have their own guis need recoding. Its doable - its just taking some time.

Currently I have synced up to current trunk, and have resolved the conflicts. However, I am still working on the guis. ETA sometime this weekend - maybe.
Beautiful - I should probably update my patches, they are turning slightly stale. :)

I'm having trouble with cargo loading with MiniIN 6500. Trains leave the station way too early. I converted the game from an old nightly and had the trains set to Full Load. Now they are set to 'full Load of any cargo type'. However trains leave the station before they are full. For example a goods train leaves the station empty.

What could be causing this? Did I miss some setting?

Look at the 4 goods trains, only 2 are fully loaded.

I see the problem but how to fix it, I'm not sure, as you have to find out where the servicing settings are, the reason the trains are leaving early is they are going to be serviced, that is set at 0 days. one way is to increase the day lenth, but I don't think you would want to do that, to see what I mean about the trains leaving for a service, watch a train and see where it goes, try removing the depot it goes to, and see if it leaves early again, chances says it will, but try to find another depot

But I've disabled servicing. Removing the depots is not done, every train (except a few) automatically visit a depot every round trip. I've got several 100s depots throughout my entire network, and because it's a network I would need to remove them all. I'll try setting the service intervals very very high.

even though the servicing is disabled the trains still go to the depot for service, you just need to watch a few of them to know that they are still being serviced

I don't think it is related to servicing. Trains leaving empty still head for the next order in the order list. They don't visit a depot. It looks more like a problem with the loading.

I also have the same problem and posted it in MiniIN Problems thread. There is also a topic that I believe have some connection to this problem. http://www.tt-forums.net/viewtopic.php?t=27852

Life sort of distracted me. I'll have another go this weekend. If I dont succeed, I'll sync up to the commit prior to the widget change, and then ask for all patch authors to provide patches against current trunk. Then I can cut/paste the new GUI layouts directly.

In particular, CopyPaste needs a new GUI.

I see that you have updated to 6596 in MiniIN branche!!

So does that means that the trouble with widget starts there??

Keep the good work!!

Some of it starts a little later. The target is to try to update to r6660, and then the guys who did the widget conversions will do the next few.

I'd like to re-instate my request for including the custom face and passenger/mail destination patches, since there has been a lot of improvement in both of them in the later days.

Passenger destinations is not ready to include yet. The data format is still not good enough and will likely change again, and the UI is not finished yet.

When is the current and oh-so-necessary widget_change going to take place?

Will it be more straight-forward than the current system? What's the deal? =)

MiniIN Status Update

MiniIN is now in sync with trunk.

If you detect problems caused by it post them in the "MiniIN problems" thread.

Realistic acceleration with ICE3

Post by jub »

Hi,

I tried last MiniIN with DB set xl and realistic acceleration and noticed that ICE3 have no max tractive effort (n/a). It affects mainly deacceleration, the train behaves like sledge. Is it there a way to prevent such a behaviour?

Ask DBSet developer to implement all new features (also, i'm wondering should transrapid have tracktive force for realistic behaviour or not), including tilting for trains like ICE-TD.
- It's hot as hell in here.
- You see it too? For me, it's always like this.
