I wanted to ask about the locomotives used in some of the mod scenarios. In particular South Central England 1920 keeping in mind trains used in this area in the 1990's and beyond. Also in Andy's West Coast Mainline Scenario. I am very interested in playing these scenarios, but being from the states I have no way of knowing what trains would be accurate for these or other areas. Please make a list of trains for each scenario from areas abroad. It's more fun when I know everything in the game is as close to the real thing as possible. This and a list of say the ten most popular scenarios that go with the trains would be helpful.
I also learned some interesting track building techniques just from viewing Andy's savegame of WCML5.

Play that save through to 2017 and the line jams up

For british scenarios, definately use the BR pack from AMI trains. It has an excellent sellection of locomotives from GB and it wouldn't matter what livelry you choose unless you are trying to be 100% accurate. The rolling stock is also included in the pack.
Specifically speaking, in the WCML scenario you should be looking at using the virgin trains (including class 43's) for the line from Endingborough/G;asgow right through to London. Silver link OR NSE (Network South East) trains for the London areas, Midland mainline for intercity routes between manchester/Birmingham/rugby.
For your mine routes use the EWS locos and for the goods/oil etc use railfreight or BR colour locos

If your speaking of the Virgin passenger trains, I witnessed that. Didn't pay attention to the year though. I thought maybe it was because I had it running in high speed gameplay. I've noticed that causes that problem with some of the other scenarios I've played. Especially when I had twelve coal trains running from Mistral Mines to the Icicle Springs Power Plant in Weatherworld. If I let the game alone in normal mode there seems to be less lock-ups. I have especially noticed this with the trams, trucks, or busses.
