I have this small suggestion. How about an emulator for Mac, Linux, BeOS, Win2000/XP users, so they can play the dos versions of TTO and TTD. Does anyone has information on emulators which are available. This might be usefull for users unwilling to installing mulitboots and that kind of stuff.
on 2000/XP you need or DOS boot or TTDPatch ... there are no other way
on Linux ... someone posted in the past a screen with TTD in Lunux and he explained how ... abotu BeOS and Mac ... maybe Owen will tell you more
no, I mean a program to emulate a computer inside an OS. I'm looking for a good emulator so I want some people to respond if they have any experience with these programs. These emulators should solve all problems for people who run Windows 2000/XP, and gives ability to play TT under Linux, Mac OS and other OSes
I have one question to everyone. In VMW or what ever is the name, I heard the sound is not working under DOS. Anybody experienced this problem? Please, post your finding.
TIA Jan
But you must understand that the emulating of an OS is more difficult then you might think. Since we don't know how the windows and dos code look like, we will never be able to build an emulator wich can handle games like TT.
Thnx for the VMware tip. I've runned this a very long time ago on a Linux Workstation, and installed Windows on it. I had sound support in Linux, so the SB16 emulation worked, although I didn't tried it out with TT. I'll do so using Windows XP and Windows 98. I'll post the results soon. I have a 266 Mhz PII, so I'll just see if it's going well with the emulation.
Sorry Owen, just very busy. Did I mentioned I use several computers, and that the one who's linked to the internet is at a friend of mine. Complicated huh? Anyways, all the articles are being updated, along with a few new ones. Some patience please...
