Some crazy video showing 32bpp grafics:

http://forums.ttdrussia.net/download.php?id=1574

Some proof of this art with a grf file showing a new power station ( and it really is pretty cool, but you will need the 32bpp openttd exe..

http://forums.ttdrussia.net/download.php?id=1623

Is this for real??

I know that openttd 32bpp exists, with it's own branche in testing..

But does this grafics exist??

I mean could they be implemented in the current state of openttd 32bpp branche??

Peace...

The second one is real, or at least made up of 32bit graphics that have been prepared for the game. The one after that isn't TTD. Others are just newgrfs. The rest are pathetic mock-ups. Not only are scales and angles wrong, but whoever pasted the vehicles in didn't even bother to touch up the edges, leaving a halo which stands right out as a composite.

edit: That babelfish link needs putting into url tags.

Looks like recycled graphics and mock-ups.

If you bothered to read to the thread: It is a hack to OTTD. It uses the same 64x64 tiles, but a hacked (not really) grf which contains a 32 bit image. There was one for windows and such stuff and doing 32 bpp copy is certainly within reach; especially since the grf can store any data.

However, how far this is playable, is another piece of cake. Moreover, some screenshots are clearly faked.

Now, this is funny.

As far as I know, this is very old Alltaken's render from the very beginning of new graphics theoretical development.

That's meaningless. They've just changed the version string and recompiled. You could compile a version that said "Joe's super top secret personal OpenTTD edition" if you wanted.

If they'd actually shown something other than the title screen it would be obvious that nothing was different.

Some of them do. Way back, back before the 32bpp branch some experimental work was done by Mek that was playable with some of Alltaken's graphics.

Here's a cropped screenshot I made while mucking about with Mek and Alltaken's work

No, there's more work to be done. Be patient.
