Great. Just enable the "Smooth_Economy" under "Configure Patches" -> "Economy".

There were no changes to MiniIN since the 11th of Augustus, so no need to make new binaries.

I find it a shame that this thread that was once a hotbed of discussion has ground to a halt.

The hotbed has moved on to pastures new... :)

Bug reports are now put into the MiniIN problems thread, and new patches go into the MiniIN TODO thread. Its much better organised now, and I find it easier to review for updating MiniIN itself.

Pretty frigging awesome! MiniIN has almost anything I've wanted on OTTD! I've been wanting to play OTTD with these advanced features I've found on the developement forums, but I'm too incompetent/lazy to compile myself. Any chance of adding these features as well?

-Bridges over a lot of things
-Passenger/Mail destination
-Face customizer

Pretty please, with a kitten on top!

Bridges over a lot of things
Was only in nightlies for a short time;
Because it has bugs, but more importantly it was added without the permission of the author AFAIK; who then (rightly) pulled it.
Im not sure where its at currently, but i suspect it wont be added again until the map rewrite is done.

Passenger/Mail destination
If you check the thread a) its old - 9+ months since any work was done and b) pretty much came to a stop because it wasnt doable.

Face customizer
Appears to be abandoned as well. Last patch file was over 1000 revisions ago, and nothing practical has been done in 3 months.

So in all 3 cases, unless someone else decides to pick up the job, theres not much chance.

Because I didnt request one. One of the overriding things with MiniIN is that later builds *always* load earlier ones (back to latest nightly version + 1). (r6027 being an exception caused by bad timing).

Other than eating disk space, I dont feel it is an important enough project to warrant long term backup. Heck - even I dont download the MiniIN builds.

If there is a big enough demand for it, I will see if Truelight can set up a sweep into an archive area every time it builds.

Snag on r6134

Post by b34n1e »

Just thought Id let you know i've had a small problem with, the latest MIN. The extra rail stations i use do not appear in the list n th GUI (see picture). I can still click on the gap and access them but it gets a bit confusing.

Many thanks to you guys for all the work you are doing. This is proving to be one of the best games I have ever played.

This is actually not a MiniIN problem, it also occurs in the latest nightly. There is a bug report here.

If you want to report a MiniIN problem, in future, please use the MiniIN Problems thread. :)

How does MiniIN's FIFO loading work? Will I need Improved Loading Algorithm on, or does it work on its own? I can't find anything on FIFO loading on the MiniIN wiki entry.

It works on its own. If you turn improved loading and FiFo loading on, FiFo loading will be used.

Yeah, the wiki should contain a page for every miniIN patch that is included. But i have not the time to write that all, maybe other users can do that. If they have questions they can pm me :)

Transfer doesn't work properly

Post by Prins@je80 »

In version r6134 for linux, I tried working with some transfer stations... When a train comes in and gives the yellow: Transfer $xxxxx, it doesn't add this to the money pool, as it used to do. Or is this a change wrt the previous usage of transferring?!?

Secondly, PBS doens't work at all. The tracks are free, but the trains keep happily waiting in front of the red signal...

Never has.

Check out the stickied MiniIN thread in the Problems forum (and post any problems there, not here btw :) ), both likely causes for that are in the last few posts.
