I am a really big fan of OTTD, and so I thought: "Why not draw a fanart for all the developers of OTTD?" This is a gift from me to all of you coders and other fellow artists and supporters:
Happy gaming and I hope to enjoy it even more in the future!
Cheers!

Thanks for the reactions! I'm drawing for a while now, so I set my expectations higher and higher every time I draw.

Hm... If it's not going to involve any lawsuits or somethings like that I'm not changing t3h text
Damn, it isn't that good But I see this as an enormous compliment! If you really want good art for the game I suggest I make some art in the same style as OTTD (sprite) but with manga allure.
If you ever played Densha de GO! on the PS1 you might know what I'm talking about...

But it's fanart.
Fanart is not supposed to be 100% related to the content of a game or whatsoever.
It merely takes some impressions and is some way of saying thank you to whoever is responsible for the game.
might i suggest that we possibly look at new "title" screens when the game first loads... (what used to be before the main menu)
and even a comp to see what ppl come up with... and chose the best... include them in the trunk or what ever... and have it as an official picture...
this could also use on the website... (possibly)
Just suggestions here about the fanart... (don't shoot me down please)
The title screen's purpose is to show what the game has to offer, not show fancy artwork, atleast in my opinion. Thats the way it has been, and thats the way it could stay imo.
The male is a pilot (note the wings and the 'pilot suitcase') shocked by the awesomeness of the game.
The woman is a train driver (note the Japanese/Chinese character or 'Iron' on the hat) dragging the pilot to awesomeness.
If you would like to have an official introduction page for OpenTTD I'll be happy to draw all the 'transporting' professions of the game!
-Passenger train driver;
-Freight train driver;
-Pilot;
-Airline hostess;
-Bus driver;
-Truck driver;
-Captain of a ship;
