List all trains that halt at this station
Wouldn't it be nice to be able to see all trains/buses/planes/whatever calling at a certain station?
Indeed - I think that's a brilliant idea! Then you can see which stations are being under/over used - it'd make a great companion to the station list.

This is already a feature in OTTD, you can see which trains/RVs/airplanes/ships/all transport are using the station. Shouldnt be too hard to code i would think, but im no expert

Somewhat in the same spirit: trains share their orders (a very handy feature), but there's no way to get a list of all trains that share the current trains orders. It would be very handy to be able to open all trains sharing the current trains orders at once - I never have more than...well, say, 8 trains sharing orders.
The situation where this would come in handy most is when you want to split services to a new branch; you want to change the orders of half the trains serving a route to the new branch, and leave the other half as they are. Currently, there is no way to find out which trains there are except sitting and watching them pass through one of the terminuses.

It seems it would be worth to write a generic "filtered vehicle list" window, with the filter itself being separated from the window handler. After that's done, we could plug in some filter functions like "vehicles sharing this schedule", "vehicles visiting this station", "vehicles too old" etc. Or maybe rewrite the current "sorted vehicle list" window into a "sorted and filtered vehicle list", with the default filter being "all vehicles"...
Unfortunately, I already have a lot of things to do, but this seems to be a good idea for the future.

A feature was added not so long ago that did sort the list by first destination (or first order?). It's not as handy or comprehensive as your proposal, but it is useful for similar reasons, and can serve well enough as a stopgap method of locating shared-order vehicles (if you're not already using it to do so).MJS wrote:Somewhat in the same spirit: trains share their orders (a very handy feature), but there's no way to get a list of all trains that share the current trains orders.
