[PROBLEM -> FIXED] Shape File Manager

Post by LocArny »

When I open SFM (Shape File Manager) for resizing and brighting the *.s files of MSTS, I first have to uncompress the MSTS *.s file.

This is where the problem starts. When I click "Uncompress" the program doesn't uncompress the file but gives an error: "Compress / Uncompress failed to complete - File not updated".

I am using IE 7 Beta 2, which should not be a problem, on my Pentium 4 XP SP2 computer.

Anyone knows the solution?

Search for ShapeShifter. That one works.

You dont need to edit. the .s file, SFM should work fine then. (You dont need to compress it again)

How do you mean? When I click "Uncompress" in ShapeShifter it becomes a .txt file, and the *.s file still stays compressed...

@Pnaky: No. Does it do the same?

Just make the output file an .s file.

Oh, I see, thanks! :)

Just one other question: When I bright the *.s file, do I have to set every texture to "bright"?

Well, most of the time the "body" or "main" part should be sufficient, if not; just do them all.

You know you need ffedit from MSTS for it to work, right? :)

Wow, I didn't know! But after checking, I have it... But still doesn't work.

But oke, its fixed. I can uncompress it with another program, so no problem at all :)
