lol thanks very much. you know i would love to but im a total newbie. unless theres anything else i can do im afraid i havent even done any complicated rail junctions. i do everything standard.
I would sugest that to be able to tunnel under the Thames, you use canal instead of water to make it. Then, you can have it at a height.
On the subject of presignals (and i probably won;t expalin this well)
- Entrance: ctrl click once: the entrance to a pre-signal block
- Exit signal: Ctrl click twice: Ends a pre-signal block
- Combo signal: Ctrl click thrice: Shows what the next signal down the line shows - so, for example, if the next signal is red, the combo signal is also red. This works at a junction - so, if there are multiple red signals in front of it, it remains red. A signal green light will turn it green. Will only function as part of a pre-signal block There is a very helpful page on the Wiki for it. I can;t be bothered to find it myself right now - but it's not too difficult to get to it.
- The currently un-available PBS signal, which used to be Ctrl click four times, allowed multiple trains to be within the same signal block, by 'reserving' a path (thus path-based-signal). This allowed for more complex junctions - and smaller ones, since tracks no longer require space bewteen them for signals to allow them to function seperately.
- Due to the large number of bugs, PBS is no longer avilable in the main or nightly versions. It is being completely reprogrammed, and is scheduled for 0.5.0

For Knowledge, Civilisation, and Chocolate Waffles!
thanks id never been bothered to find out. so you need an entry before combo and exit to ensure all normal signals between it and the combo are accounted for?
proudmoore is esentially correct that, to tunnel under you would need a canal, above sea level.
We have, however not done that. You yourself noted that we lack the 'technology' in Openttd to actually have stations and such like underground, so we use the simple method, we use tunnels and stations, one level below ground, in some cases two levels in a trench. The scenario being 3 square above sea level, so considering this, when we reach the thames, which is a sea level the tunnel will shoot right out, 'hanging' over the thames. How better to get over than just bridge it, and then enter straight into tunnels again.
Okay so yes, its simple and not very realistic, but still...it works.
As for when the map will be finished, the Central Line, Waterloo and City, Metropolitan Line and the Piccadilly is finished, the rest are in varying states, it does take a while to do a whole line, especially where lines cross.
We estimate at least a week, perhaps a few days for the game to be complete, as for the finishing of all the needed graphics to do it in, i cannot say. Please check out our forums for any releases!

OTTDCoop NewGRF Pack|Different sets of GRFs for TTDPatch (some of them work in OTTD) - 1|- 2|GRF sets for OTTD|OTTD nightly
I hooked up my accelerator to my brake lights. I hit the gas, people behind me stop, and I'm gone.
Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car. Oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car. Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall. Torque is how far you take the wall with you. Spoilers and bodykits are how much of the wall you take with you. Rollcages and windownets are how much of a mess you leave on the wall.
There could be a London Uderground gewstations set. Stairwells, ticket turnstiles and the like. Those narrow passageways with advertisements on the walls etc. It could be quite nice.
We thought of that, we also thought of replacing the money sound at stations to someone saying 'Mind The Gap'
We need people to draw and code the stations, which is the problem inherent.
I shall get back to you gkirilov, on the grfs being used.

i went to london once with my school. believe me you wouldnt have wanted to be on the tube that day. we were in the blitz museum when we heard the fateful news on july 7th 2005.
took us six hours to get out of london. you should have seen the amount of police and ambulance vehicles whizzing past. tell me, do you happen to live in london?
