Anybody here know a sport called 'cricket'?

Who here knows of the game cricket? It's played widely in Britain and Australia. I was just curious to who knows about it. My avatar contains an Australian representative playing the game (Adam Gilchrist).

Really? I though at least your games would be shown, here in oz, every game with Australia in it is shown (live as well :D) and then some. And all the rest are shown on foxtel

They don't even show a lot of hockey here, while the Dutch national team is one of the best of the world.
As far as I know, they showed only a few overs from one of the Dutch cricket matches, and only very occasionally a little bit of the national hockey league, but they seem to prefer cycling or even running (after Football of course) on the main sports programme.

I find it sooooo boring to listen to on the radio, to watch it's alright for about half hour, and to play I can last quite a while (unless I'm on the batting side cos I'm hopeless then I get bored of sitting out forever).

To be honest I quite like cricket, even if !

It's a pity that England are about as good at cricket as they are at any other sport! Australia are now pro's at beating England!

I love the sport! I think we got some seriouly great Batsmen, especially Bevan, he always does us proud. They should have put Bickel in full time because whats-his-name isn't as good as Bickel (whats the guys name he replaced?), and Brett Lee is faster than the speed of light. Well, almost.

And there was me thinking that cricket was like the TV test signal - only broadcast when nothing else is scheduled, or when there has been some major disaster.. oh, hold on. That's BBC News 24 isn't it
