My computer cannot be setup as a host. I cannot make a tt-forums.net server

You need to setup your router properly for port forwarding.

I have zone alarm and it accepts Open ttd. I made a server this morning and it didn't show up on the server list

Free Zonealarm blocks the UDP requests for me, even if I allow to connect. I need to shut it down, when I run my server.
I don't know if there is a setting in zonealarm to let the server run.
Maybe someone knows.
If it does not work, when Zonealarm is shut down, maybe you need to forward the port on your router. If this is not your own router you maybe need to speak to an admin.
