One blender question

Post by Killer 11 »

i was wondering is there a way to add vertices to an existing object like i have made a cube and i want to make another atached cube to it so could i add 4 more vertices in the existing cube and then arange them so i get an atached cube. I know i could just add another cube but that is too much when you need to do a curved surface.

select the four verts / face, press E for extrude then drag it/them outwards.

otherwise create a new object, select both objects you want to join and press Ctrl+J (join).

to create faces between verts, select them (3 or 4 only) and press F for face.

if the verts are in the same location exactly (like you have two cubes next to each other exactly) press W and select the "remove doubles" option to join the verts which are the same place.

well i found one way that i like most:
I get a basic shape, select one face and split its verts from whole shape, then modify them and create faces to join the stuff back together and this way is very good to me i did a fighter model it's in offtopic section.

also works with 2 verts:

select 2 verts, hit f and get an edge where you wanted
