im not sure if this has been asked - but does the most recent dload have the planespeed switch in it (since the patch list doesnt explicitly mention it) also - bring on the intercontinental airport :P

Hmm. Dont know if Ive ever seen this as a separate patch. I thought it was either part of the trunk, or part of the aircraft queueing(sp?) patch.

==================================
Just to let all people eager for a new Integrated Nightly know this:

Until the settings_gui.c problem (described in the Development forum) has a workaround/fix, I will NOT be creating a new Integrated Nightly.

The idea of the IN is to build together a number of working patches. The changes needed to work with the new/updated/broken* (delete as appropriate ;) ) settings_gui.c are more like recoding every patch, and to me, that is the job of the creators of the patches.

I will advise when I am about to create a new one!

Hi,
pardon me for the nex question but i'm starting in OTTD.
I've downloaded the latest nightly build and i discover some new industries and ressources ( paper factory, gold mine....).
I think it'pretty cool but it seems that this version does not include the patches present in the " Integrated Nightly! Version R3464IN ".
Is there two versions of OTTD : one with patches and one without ?
Can someone explain that to me and/or explain to me how to add patches in the latest nigthly ( if it means touching code it's far beyond me. :) )
Thanks.
P.S.: what is PBS ?
(Sorry for stupid questions but i have not read the full forum yet :) )

/me is new to the forums but not new to OpenTTD. So let's give it a try. on http://www.openttd.org/nightly.php you will get the latest OFFICIAL version as code was when released. But notice that the developers (devs) DON'T give a warranty that latest nightly even works. The integrated nightlies (as the name says) have a lot of UNOFFICIAL (user made) patches integrated and are NOT released by the devs.

(edit) You may find integrated nightlies here in the forums. Maybe in this thread - I don't exactly know (/edit)

(edit2) PBS is path based signalling and was available between Official Version 0.4.0.1 and Official Version 0.4.5 (most recent). If you want to know more about PBS check http://wiki.openttd.org/index.php/PBS for more information. If I remember right the devs took it out again because the PBS code was buggy - again I don't exactly know (/edit2)

I hope this answer hits the point :?

Hi again!

yeah i meant was the planespeed switch included in the plane-queueing patch - and it seems to be, so, awesome :D - other than that - i know you said you wouldnt make another integrated nightly till some bugs were ironed out but could you not whip up the last one but with the 3 airports you made in? - the intercontinental is much MUCH more efficient than the international one (was playing a 128x2048 map and getting very silly congestion by the time i had 100 or so yate haugans between 2 airports - ran the airports patch and the problem was efficiently solved.

Cheers

I reckon, bring on a development load. I dont care if it is a bit buggy I still want to play it with subsidiaries.

The planespeed code is a part of my aircraft queueing patch. If the integrated nightly has my patch in, then it will have the planespeed code in as well.

Something wierd happened on my current game. Never seen it before.
For some reason, all industries halved production in the same month. No idea why. Board always seems to time out when i try and attached a save game, if you want to look at it, i'll try and host it elsewhere.

Did a newspaper happen to say 'Somthing Something about an economic recession etc. etc.' because that causes all industries to halve their production, in about a year (I think it is) another message will say, 'something something recession over etc. etc.' and all industries will return to the original production again.

Well, apparently thats the cause, but no, there was no newspaper message (even with all other messages turned off; im sure its not a problem with it just getting lost from too many), and in all the IN games ive played, Ive never had it happen before. Most of my networks have so many trains, and flow so closely together, that a reduced production of that size would bring it to its knees and be extremely obivious. But whatever, its all good I guess.

To get a good answer, ask a Smart Question. Similarly, if you want a bug fixed, write a Useful Bug Report. No TTDPatch crashlog? Then follow directions.

sc79, have you checked your News message history? This really does seem like a recession. Wait a year and it should all be over.

It is. Dont think I've ever had one before this in all the time ive been using the IN (since first release). Not sure if they're that rare or ive just been lucky; so much so that I'd totally forgotten they existed.
