Problem with locomotives prices.

Post by koolwayans »

I've found that the AI players won't buy locomotives which cost more than 145.204$. So, your competitors will start to build tracks, depots, wagons, and no locomotives, and soon they will go bankrupt. Please, all of you that create these nice new locomotives graphic files, to set their prices below that limit. Some of you TTD fans, please verify this thing I'm saying here.

Thank you, and keep going with your good work.

To the AI, the only thing that matters is reliability and whether they have enough money to buy it.

However they buy certain locos only for freight or passenger service, so even if other locos are available they may not buy them for that reason.

I've modified the purchase costs with TTDAlter for all engines, to make them more expensive, and the AI players didn't buy any locomotive. It seems that the prices are keeping the AI players to stop buying them, and the same problem I have with DB Set XL which I like very much. For example, the AI players will never buy the Transrapid, and early in the game, the same problem with electric engines.
