I usually set up my train lines so that at a station they get serviced immediately, so I don't have to send them to a depot, or have them search for one. This way, I can set the 'servicing interval' to a fairly high number of days. Cause this is a pain in the ass to do for all trains, I set the switch in TTDPatch so that it is 16.000 days

But, the Computer AI's servicing interval is also 16.000 days, but they don't buid their stations like me, and, soon they get to 0% reliability, and they go bankrupt pretty fast.
Can't you maybe only change default servicing interval to the player and don't change it for the AI?
