Larger drive-through stations

Post by boh »

I don't know if anyone before me asked this, but could it be possible to have larger drive-throuh stations? I mean two or more lines next to each other, but they should appear as one station.

Try OpenTTD, that can have multiple station tiles in one station for RVs.

Sorry, but what has OTTD has to do with this suggestion? OTTD has only normal busstops.

Generally with a lot work it would be possible (as airports) but there is no one willing to spent time on that...
TTDPatch dev in retirement ... Search a grf, try Grf Crawler 0.9 - now with even faster details view and new features...

Yes but In OTTD you can join 4 bus stations together so maybe that solves the problem

busstops != drive through stations, aswell OTTD has neither support for drive through stations as far as I know neither of trams...

Since when did OpenTTD become TTDpatch.
And please don't Advertise OpenTTD in the TTDpatch Section.

I believe he means bus stops in this sense, and not the original.

I didn't say that OTTD is bad, but OTTD is not a solution for me. I'd like to play with TTD patch. If I'd like to know something about OTTD, I'd post a topic into that section of forum.

BTW thanks for your answers on my question. I thought it would take a lot of work, but I just tried it. :)

Is it possible to do a similar thing for trucks, a drive through bay for them?

Possible? Yes.
But Oskar has said that he won't. You are, of course, welcome to; just download the source, look at Oskar's work, and duplicate it for truck stations.
To get a good answer, ask a Smart Question. Similarly, if you want a bug fixed, write a Useful Bug Report. No TTDPatch crashlog? Then follow directions.

Regretfully, I have not experience with editing any files, except the graphics themselves. And even then I'm not much good.
But perhaps there's someone else on here with a bit more experience then me who could?

For a start, there is no such language as "Visual Studio 2005". And no, it's not, it's written in assembly language. OpenTTD is written in C (which can be compiled with VS 2005, coincidentally).

Good luck. You're going to need it. ;)

Well, I know how to use VS2005 anyway...
I kind of know assembly code...

Good luck to me. I'm definitely going to need it.
