And the beauty of providing 4 "offical" versions, is you can make everyone happy
those who like full colour, enjoy.
those who like yellow, enjoy
those who print in B/W, enjoy
those who like the blue one, enjoy.
I do appreciate the criticsm people have given, not everyone will ever agree all the time, so i hope i came with a good enough comprimise.
but lets answer some comments for fun
The black/white and blue/white ones look too... colourless. They just don't really work for me.
lets try this, please put one of each logo onto a single page in somthing like word, then press print in black and white. which 2 logos will be visable and will look nice?
these two logos should be used at the top of things like PDF's (i.e. instructions...)
e.g. like MeusH says
"There is other one worth commenting: The blue-white logo. I'd put them on .htm files in /trunk/docs/ and other documentation files."
How about making the color theme of Wiki similiar to openttd.org one?
Oh i absolutely agree, i think the theme should be made yellow borders (rather than blue) and use the Yellow logo. it would at least change the website a bit away from looking like every other wikis colour scheme (Blue)
i am an admin at the Wiki, however i don't think you can change these settings from within the site itself.... or can you (someone PM me if you can)
I still stick to full colour!
I think a lot of people want the game to be close to realistic, and I think the logo must represents the game
as you will surely know there is a different between litteral and essential. (apart from spelling)
If we were to be litteral then we would use Ingame graphics.
OTTD's main colour is yellow this is a brandable colour much like Cokes red... is cokes colour dark brown... it would show what it is....
Full colour for me, the yellow one just looks garrish.
Everyones eyes work differently (or their brains do), it adds to the spice of life. i am glad you like the full colour one.
Cya round people. Lets migrate from the old Logo ASAP (it is not my proudest moment)
I think OTTD needs to slowely be rebranded to differentiate itself from the competition.
