new things
im no good at making graphics so i ask all of you this:
Can someone make a bunch of cars that look good and are futureistic and dont have wheels, they hover.
i like cars but they totaly suck and go too slow so i think the new 'hover' trucks/busses should go faster and carry a bit more.
they should look like the cars in i robot

you do understand that it is very hard work and you can't just demand it to be done and even if someone draws them the coding would take a lot of time becouse gfx coders are all busy now with other gfx sets.
So just stick with the existing road vehicles and if you want futuristic stuff use maglev trains!

first can you say wich kind of graphics you want to do
1. The old stile 256 color palleted sprites for existing game(can be used in game right now)
2. The new 32bit sprites rendered from blender models for the new gfx engine(will be usable in the future but not right now)
for the first option MS Paint will do
for tutorials of this option look here:

for the second you need Blender and for info for new gfx artists you can look here: http://www.tt-forums.net/viewtopic.php?t=20879
and about coding i can say only one thing you can either code or draw becouse doing both is just too much for people that are completely new to this kind of stuff.

the spoiler looks nice, but it doesn't make any sense on a hover car. the point of a spoiler is to press the car down onto the road to minimize air friction. but that's not a good thing on a hover car

Actually it's more to ensure that the tyres have purchase on the road. If your car starts to take off, it'll lose effectiveness in its only means of propulsion, braking and steering.Korenn wrote:...to press the car down onto the road to minimize air friction.
With a hovering vehicle, it might be the same idea - to stop the vehicle from leaving the road altogether, especially if it's steered by the same means that keeps it off the ground.
