HAHA! I strike again! This time with the South West of England. Heavily based on the original 'Westcountry' map, but revised, A LOT.
Check it now, Funk so baby!

Alright, here's a game built on an ancient scenario called "The Factory". I've been digging out all these old long-distance scenarios and replaying them...

Screens and a short description are somwhere on the Screenshots thread:

http://tt-forums.net/viewtopic.php?p=377475

Game and CFG attached - though the only big concern is double head increase 20% - otherwise none of the trains will coincide with their loading station outputs.

Hi all,

Here is a map i built representing the region round wellington in New Zealand.
The map has been tweaked to make it more playable, i.e the scale is not correct and there are non existant industries

Enjoy

edit: pics are in screenshot topic

That game is so big... My computer runs at less than 1fps when playing it!
I think I'll stick to less than 100 trains before my PC crashes. 8)

Well running with more then 100 trains isn't a problem.
It's just that my game has :
  • 634 trains
  • 318 road vehicles
  • 31 aircraft
  • 416 ships
I also need a morevehicles setting of 16, which means I have about 16 * 690 + 320 reserved vehicles = 11360

Together that causes it to become a bit sluggish. :D

That thing is just insane.

How long does a year take on your machine? Getting to 4178 is an accomplishment in and of itself.

Colorado Gold Rush

Post by Dustin »

I used Sv0creator.exe to turn create this scenario. It's a more or less anatomically correct colorado.

Some of the cities locations might be off, and the east/west scale is scrunched to fit the whole state on the square grid.

The minerals and industries are more or less right and I think still playable. I am going to try it out in a few games now. I would love to hear what people think.

Known Issue:
For some reason when you create an arctic scenario with SV0creator.exe it changes the industry outputs. Banks and Gold Mines deal in "valuables" rather than "gold" and paper mills output "steel!". Luckily the printing shops take steel.

If anyone knows how to fix that, I would love to know. I am sure it's a hex edit of some sort that needs to go on in the SV0 file.

You need Higher Bridges for the Royal Gorge bride. I think the american train set it a good match, and you might want a vehicle set with some early vehicles.

hi, I'm not extremist like Rob :D . My game have only 200 trains and 200 road vehicles after 100 years of game. By the way Rob, you realy play 4k years ??? My income is about 53 mil pounds a year from trains (WITHOUT infaltion (with inflation I don't no what to do with my money :D )). Delivered cargo is about 225000 units. My cash is nothing extra, because i spend about 2mld pound for bribes, cover water (I hate bridges) and founding new industry.

Dude, you need to put like SEVENTY trains on that, not just SEVEN. Then, I think, it would look pretty sick.

Sure thing; it's attached.

I myself am looking for a scenario called 'The Terminus". I wonder if anyone has that one?

Hi all!

One of my first TTDPatch Scenarios, i normally make them for OTTD! Hope its ok...

Anyhow, here it is; German Highlands. There are a few large towns scattered around the map, but still undeveloped. The towns are asking for a passenger service network to connect the towns, plus the villages that lay between them. There are numerous industries round about, which are perfect to help get your company off the ground. Roads have been built between the towns and villages to provide a basis for a bus service if thats how you wish to go about it! Most of all, enjoy it! :D

That's odd...when I download your scenario, TTD can't find i. :x In fact, it's the same for ALL other custom scenarios. What's wrong? Sorry for going off-topic, but it's just sad not to be able to play any of the great scenarios here...

By the way, I've tried creating a scenario and the game detects that one all right. :?

try removing the underscore and the numbers that follow it. Php adds them when there is more than one file of that name on the server.
