Dear Bram:
I could write this in Dutch, but I'm not sure they would let me, since hardly anybody else could read it, and besides, I don't know your e-mail address.
I have downloaded your different Randstad files, and my compliments for a terrific job. If I may, however, I'ld like to make a few suggestions and ask a few questions; hope you don't mind. I've always been interested in maps and railways, so I'm pretty familiar with the Dutch railway system, too. Used to draw maps for my kids. I notice that you have the trains from Dordrecht to Amsterdam bypass Haarlem and go to Hoofddorp and Schiphol instead. Unless they have changed that (but I dont think so), this is not correct. The line as I remember it went Dordrecht-Rotterdam-Schiedam-Delft-The Hague (then H.S. and Laan van N.O.Indië), Leiden-(Heemstede/Aerdenhout)-Haarlem-Amsterdam C.S.
I have inserted a section of track between Leiden and Haarlem. Now I wouldn't bother you with this, but I'm stupid when it comes to placing signals, and I fear that if I left them as they are (or even if I changed them) and then changed the schedule on the trains, we would get crashes or it would not work. So I'm asking you: If you have time, could you add ther necessary signals? I'll try to append a screenshot with this.
Next question: Could the map be modified or extended so as to add a strip of coast with sea, so that for instance oil from the drilling platforms could reach the Maas (refineries at Maassluis and Rotterdam)? For instance, at least a strip of coastline from The Hague to Yerseke, so that the waterways among the Z.H and Zeeland Isles would be opened up for freight traffic? I'm also thinking of a passenger ferry from Hook of Holland to Harwich (invisible most of the way), and international train- and air connections to Belgium and Germany (invisible part of the way if necessary).
In short, I'm looking forward to a map of the entire Dutch landscape including part of the adjacent regions. Hope you ever get around to it! Keep up the good work; it is truly great ! Jack Verheydt (j.verheydt@hetnet.nl).
P.S. Don't know why the extension .bmp is not allowed, but will try to send you a jpg. if you would please give me your e-mail address. Jack.

Hallo Jacques,
You must have been away long times from Holland.
Almost all important trains on the west coast (Rotterdam-The Hague) which go to Amsterdam, go already some 25 years over the "Schiphol lijn".
This is the line what's going from Leiden to > Nieuw-Vennep > Hoofddorp > Schiphol > Amsterdam-Lelielaan > Amsterdam - Sloterdijk and then to Amsterdam cs.
The "Oudelijn" Leiden > Haarlem > Amsterdam isn't of much importance any more.

Jacques, about screen shots.
Easiest is to set your game resolution on 800*600 before taking a screenshot.
After that only rename it 's extension bmp into jpg and you can upload it.
