Toolbar Overlap Fix

Post by richk67 »

My no.1 grumble about playing 0.4.0.1 is when the toolbars for depots, stations, etc. overlap the main toolbar.

Here is a tiny patch that simply checks if it is one of the offending popups, and moves it to below the build toolbar. This works for all depots, rail, bus and truck stations, and the signals popup of signal_gui.patch.

(Actually on that last one, Im not sure whether you will get an undefined variable error if you dont have signal_gui. Let me know if it does screw things up.)

Have fun.

I don't get it? What does it do? Can you post a screenshot?

It moves the depot and station toolbars below the build toolbar, so you can still see the rail building icons. Do you really need screen shots for that?

I guess some people do...

How is it decided where they popup in the first place? Wouldn't it be better to just pop them up in the right place the first time?

my suggestion would be more like that it popped up on the same place you moved it to that last time.

Haven't had a chance to play around with this one yet... Does this work for all of the sub-menus? I agree that the current placements can be irritating, and am in hopes that this will adjust station building menus, waypoint menus, etc.

Thanks-

Yes, but if you find one where it don't work, say it.

Edit: I've forgotten the plant trees sub menu, here an update:
