Post by Paasky »

Where/How to install: Extract the .scn file into C:\Program Files\Atari\Locomotion\Scenarios
How to play: Open Locomotion, click new game and it's in the Challenging Tab
What do I need: Nothing! This scenario doesn't require any mods.
Whats the objective: Deliver 1 000 000 goods. No time limit.
Any opponents: Yes, 5 "intelligent" ones ( )

Enjoy!

That would be to easy.
And less than 60 trains give you 100%. :D

Use the new driving ability?

Allow narrow gauge rail only in the vehicle mix.

Narrow has tight curves and steep slopes. Ideal for a 'Spiral of doom'.

Locate coal and iron in the low ground. Steel Mill on the high ground.

One loco only.

Make 1000 steel as quickly as possible.

Manual driving allowed. This will ignore the speed limits. Build in wood. With plenty of power to haul the loads you can have the Roller coaster 'Spiral of Doom'. Just remember you are driving...and that you need to stop. :D

Might have to build other routes first to earn the cash to build the steel route?

All of the resource-giving industries are on the lower areas; steel- & paper mills are in the middle; factory, food plant & winery are a bit more up; and finally the oil refinery & printing works are almost on the top. 5 Ski-Centres are dotting the ever-snow areas. But as you can (or can't) see, the middle of the map has a huge hight rise, but the outer areas rise quite slowly. That's why I made my routes like this:

I'll make the requirement to deliver 1 000 000 goods in... 5 years? I've never played for the objectives, so I usually just let it be in the default, which I achieve in a few months :P
