Bug with autoslope.

Post by iNVERTED »

This might be already known but you can lower land under houses at certain points so that the house ends up on a "steep slope". The game draws it incorrectly and worst is that you can't raise the land back again, so you have to demolish the houses.

And by the way, it doesn't work with airports.

Off topic a bit, but @ Patchman: remember when I posted about the problem with trains not loading cargo? I realized it was caused by using unifiedmaglev so I just used cht:tracks 1 which fixed it. You might want to remember that if others have the same problem in the future ;) (or it would be safer to save the unifiedmaglev setting with the savegame)...

From what you said, it sounds like this is not always possible. Figure out what makes it possible, and report, or post a before/after screenshot and a savegame. (Don't forget your config.)
To get a good answer, ask a Smart Question. Similarly, if you want a bug fixed, write a Useful Bug Report. No TTDPatch crashlog? Then follow directions.

I don't think he need to post that list.
I have tried that already, and I found he's right.
As can I see it's not a config problem, I think it's the alpha problem.
I hope it will be fixed in the next alpha (correct me if I'm wrong).

Sorry, all my tests showed no error, so if you want a fix, post a savegame with before and after so I can reproduce it, or atleast screenshots.
I wasn't able to make a house on steep slopes, maybe I have overseen something. But it will not magical fix itself, the bug will not be solved if you don't help

Death: you aren't responsible in anyway for TTDPatch so shut up! Sorry but until a TTDPatch Dev says it's ok, we know the bug. Don't tell people what they should do or shouldn't do.

I will. Sorry, you're right. And sorry for the Off-post. I didn't meant to tell him what to do, I just say it's not a bug, and I wish it won't be at the next alpha. I wish but as you said I have no responsiable.

If it's not a bug, then what is it? (Assuming, of course, that it's not yet another manifestation of the overwrite-random-memory bug.)

*plonk*

iNVERTED, mentioning which version(s) of the patch you are using is also a requirement for a good bug report. (And "latest" is not a version number.)

I'll try and grab some screenshots later. But I know it happens when you have a house on land that is half-flat half-sloping down and you lower the lowest point of the land. It's alpha 65, by the way.
