Letters travel by themselves

Post by Oleg »

Urgent news from the TTD world - Lake Head at Panic

Soon after the Alpha 63 was announced, many strange things are reported by Lake Head residents. Though hardly believable their stories of weird things have turned out to be true. A special investigation turned out different letters and characters now travel all by themselves. Pictures attached.

P.S. No key values except autoslope have been turned on in the new version. The same place was checked out in the same time using previous save and a62 fixed. All road vehicles were safe and sound, no character travelling occured.

Savegame? configs?
Give [Patchman] some credit for basic intelligence: if [TTDPatch] really didn't work at all, he would probably have noticed. Since he hasn't noticed, it must be working for him. Therefore, either you are doing something differently from him, or your environment is different from his. He needs information; providing this information is the purpose of a bug report. More information is almost always better than less.
To get a good answer, ask a Smart Question. Similarly, if you want a bug fixed, write a Useful Bug Report. No TTDPatch crashlog? Then follow directions.

I had the same problem, you have to enable the autoreplace feature.
And don't send those letters to depots, it'll crash your game

Sounds like the old autorenew is going haywire if autoreplace is off. Please make a savegame just before the vehicle gets converted into silliness, and post it together with your .cfg files.

Many thanks for your replies. I've checked ttdpatch.cfg and found out that nothing happens when autoreplace is on. When it is off, the vehicle gets replaced by something which has its capacity and the characteristics of EMC Doodlebug (Diesel). Picture attached.

Thanks, I've fixed this for a64. Until then just keep autoreplace turned on... since there's no autoreplace scheme for anything but trains yet, this won't hurt anyway.
