It's meant to be like that. >_>

I'll see if I can fix it. The fact that it has the wrong name shouldn't prevent it from being used. 8)

I'm not really sure we need earlier electrics. It's kind of nice not having wires everywhere until the network is well established, and then having to decide what routes are worth electrifying. Like I said before, what would be nice is a passenger electric loco like the AEM7 (1978).

Well, I was thinking something like the EF-3, and that's it until 1986 when the GF6C comes in. A 55 MPH electric isn't going to find much service on long-haul or passenger runs ;) It's mainly designed as a banking engine.

TTD doesn't really lend itself to proper banking engine operations, though.

Not really, but you stick a couple of electrics on the tail of a freight, and they're only used under catenary.

But they're heavy and you have to drag them around the rest of the way. Do they have running costs when they're not under catenary?

*poke*
Nope. Thats not fixed yet. Electric engines cost exactly the same amount to run, regardless of whether they're working or just dead weight.
To get a good answer, ask a Smart Question. Similarly, if you want a bug fixed, write a Useful Bug Report. No TTDPatch crashlog? Then follow directions.

It appears that's been on patchman's todo since alpha 20. What exactly that means (difficulty vs. urgency) is not necessarily clear.

Couple new locos for the early years :D A 4-6-0 'Ten Wheeler' for those intermediate local hauls when a Pacific's too expensive and a Doodlebug's not powerful enough, and a Shay.

Like these??

To be honest, I don't really want to add a passenger electric in the 80's as it doesn't fit the 'Canadian/Pacific NW' setting
