The "Jerk" is back.

Post by Jim Powers »

Dear TTD Friends;

Now, I feel like a real stupid Jerk. Didn't mean to cause trouble, it was just
that if I couldn't make TTD work, I'd have to say 'Good Bye', That's all.

Mr. Aegir & Mr. the Irish, again, recued my dumb a@& and, with their
Win2k help, I finally got my TTD game back, Thank God!

For all the other kind offers and suggestions, I have been so humbled and I humbly say
"Thank You" my true, true Friends.:oops:

I've been up since about 3:00a.m. excitingly creating more 'art' for my
latest scenario "Grandeur Gardens".

How could I leave you and TTD with this kind of friendship? I can't.

Again, men, one big THANK YOU!

Always,
Jim Powers

No worries Jim! I knew it was somthing allong those lines, I saw you dropping hints at what the problem was, and was surprised you got to that point of frustration without anyone catching on and giving you the right advice!

Jim if you ever actually 'cause any trouble here, I'll eat my hat.

Give me some advanced warning though, so I have a hat to eat. I don't own any hats, I'll go buy one to eat.

Jim, don't you dare scare us like that again. You're my scenario mentor :)).

Dear Mr. Aegir & Mr. the Irish;

This has been one rough week for me at work, and I was disappointed with the
new computer, (at first,) and on top of that I picked up a 'bug' from maybe
one of my workers..............One of those weeks, Ugh!

Now, I still have this 'summer cold', but, with Mr. Dan Mack helping me, I'm starting
to like Windows XP, also I found 90% of my old files, and am getting used to this computer,
but, most of all I have The Game! Heck, I guess I'm just another TTD addict.
Mr. Rob, I followed that 'install guide' you provided me and it was perfect, my Friend.

Mr. Raichase, Mr. Krtaylor, Mr. CeleronXL, Mr. Weirdy, and Mr. Geo.c Ghost,
You guys were there for me when I needed you most, and I appreciate it more
than you know. You're all too kind to me, it's just that simple.

Thanks Buddies, Thanks!

Always,
Jim Powers

Indeed. I need a good place to test the CanSet! And I already beat British Columbia!

Sincere Thanks

Post by Jim Powers »

Dear Mr. Rudge;

Thanks, my Friend, for the encouragement. I didn't mean to alarm anyone,
but, I just couldn't get TTD to play. But, with all the wonderful help that your
forum has, I made it OK. Great people helping each other is a real example
of how consideration and care makes it better, much better, for all.
I thank God for all of the fellows in the The Forum. It's the best! And so
you, Owen, Thanks for allowing me to be a part of this great Forum. :)

JP Art

Post by Jim Powers »

Dear TTD Members;

I thought I'd show you what I've been working on. OK?
Here's a 'screenie' from "Grandeur Gardens".
This has proved to be a bit harder than I thought, but, it's fun! :wink:

Well, at least the map is enjoying itself :].

Jim, I'm looking forward to trying this out out. I'm actually postponing playing on the new map I designed to play on this one ;). It certainly looks like a lot of fun!

Mr. Raichase;

Thanks for your support, My Friend. Though I'm only about
50% done with this tedious scenario. It's fun, but, it's taking
quite a lot of time. I think it'll be worth all the work. :wink:

Well, now that you're back, i need to get this question off my back.

Boston Scenario

Post by Jim Powers »

Mr. lws1984;

Thank for the interest, Sir. Would you be more specific? Just the Boston
area, along the coast? Also send me the info like where I may find maps.
Elevation, natural resources, that kind of thing, and I'll do what I can to
make those Bostonians proud, OK? Understand, it may take a while due
to "Grandeur gardens" creation, but, at least that gives you time to collect
the necessary 'info'. :wink:

It's always fun creating a map with Jim. He's a great mapmaker, don't let his talent escape you!

I've been thinking of collaborating with Jim again for a map, I just need to think up a good region! :wink:

Patchman's Pad

Post by Jim Powers »

Dear Mr. Josef Drexler;

As a tribute to your absolutely outstanding accomplishment,
the least I could do is acknowledge where you live, (Ithaca) in my
latest scenario creation "Grandeur Gardens".

It's just too bad that I can't do more to return to you, Sir, for all you've
given us TTD Gamers. Thanks, buddy, we all love you!:wink:

While I'm flattered, if you want Ithaca in your scenario, it needs more hills. Lots and lots of hills! :mrgreen:

I live 400 feet above the university, which itself is 300 feet above the town center. I ride my bike there every day, and already the strain from the hills has worn out the ball bearings in the crank shaft.

(Oh, and I also live to the north east of the town center, not south of it :mrgreen:)

Relocation

Post by Jim Powers »

Dear Mr. Drexler;

First of all, I'm sorry I misspelled your name. (I edited it.) Sorry, Sir.
Now, I'll relocate you to a more appropiate NE hilly area. I've never
heard of Ithaca, so, I don't know anything about it. This scenario is not
built for resemblence's sake, rather an artistic approach.
Soon a 'screenie'. Again, thank you, Mr. Josef, for THE PATCH!

(Mr. CeleronXL, thanks for keeping me straight on map details, Ol' Buddy.)

Always,
Jim Powers
