After much delay, here's the OTTD logo, in various sizes, straight from SVN.krtaylor wrote:Is there a logo for OpenTTD?

To get a good answer, ask a Smart Question. Similarly, if you want a bug fixed, write a Useful Bug Report. No TTDPatch crashlog? Then follow directions.

krtaylor: The tracking table seemingly has only 25 planes out of 41. Try to add the missing planes soon.

I removed the missing planes on purpose - they already have original-livery versions, or don't need them. The table only has planes which need work done.

I'd prefer having everything there for three reasons:
1. Reference for other artists
2. We can track whether something still needs to be repaired
3. A databank I can do the builds from at the moment we have enough graphics

A couple of problems with that - fixable, but needing discussion.
1. I am not 100% sure I have all the latest sprites.
2. It makes sense to use it as a databank, but have you already coded some of the original-liveries (but not released them?)
3. Is it a good idea to use the same table BOTH to hold changes to existing coded sprites, AND to accumulate a (mostly) new collection of original-liveries? In the US set I wound up using a normal-looking table for new stuff only, and then having a separate table further down the page, without the original photos or tracking colors, just consisting of a list of updated sprites, the assumption being that anything not listed there had stayed the same.

I have coded the 747 and Chinook in both liveries. The 747 is around here somewhere; the Chinook was offered, but never requested.krtaylor wrote:2. It makes sense to use it as a databank, but have you already coded some of the original-liveries (but not released them?)

And you've got the zeppelins already, they don't need original-livery versions (no need for swastikas). Some of the other planes have original-liveries drawn, but they didn't get coded?

I haven't coded any liveries yet since my primary concern was to get the cc version into releaseworthy form first which is now accompished. All current cc sprites can be found from the developer package I posted here at the time of 1.0 release, you might want to update the cc sprites with them - they'll likely stay pretty much the same from now on.

Ehm.
Yes, I do need to redo the table, don't I - I think I need to start from scratch.
Once I've done that, is it possible for you to eyeball the existing sprites, and point out the ones where I am obsolete? So I don't have to replace them all. Since you coded them, you probably have a better eye for the differences.

Why are you asking? Those planes are included in 1.0. If you need source/sprites for them, dig this thread for developer package which can be found from post following initial 1.0 official release.

I admit, I haven't had time to test the set thoroughly yet, but I thought you finally voted against using the rendered planes.
And on the top of this, the website shows only "regular" sprites, not the rendered ones. (B747 had 10+ rendered liveries) the website shows this:
and I'm pretty sure the An-124 looked much better then this

I think there are two problems with the screenshots in the site:
1. They are taken at the edge of the map.
2. They were taking via OTTD, which uses the old (non-rendered) versions of some aircraft. So the images aren't strictly speaking accurate to what most people will see in the set.

The OTTD version is not 100% finished yet, nor is the website.
If you'd like to take screenshots of the planes in question using the non-OTTD GRF file, I'll be glad to replace them.

In this case, "Complete airplane replacement" refers to the fact that each and every original plane is replaced by the set. It doesn't stand for "finished", maybe something like "total". My apologies for confusing wording but krtaylor as a native English-speaker might have an idea for better wording.
That An-124 is in state "shape OK, wing shading is free for someone skilled to improve".
I eventually decided to put the shaded planes since Aydan and DaleStan put considerable amount of effort into them and they didn't look bad at all although they kinda break the graphical look uniformity. At least we got the Osprey and An-124 done thanks to them.
